Am I Doing This Open Letter Right?
Feel free to engage me on this post to get an idea of why I posted the updated soft fork code. Also do be sure to read the commit message for some further insight. I will leave it below for quick access.
Steem Protection Fork : This soft fork may never have to be implemented depending on how further interactions between Tron/SteemIt and the Steem community elected consensus witnesses. This code change represents a minor modification to limit a certain number of transactions for known SteemIt, Inc accounts as well as for some exchanges that have shown they are willing to participate in DPoS governance using customer funds. For more information regarding the soft fork please look at https://steemit.com/steem/@softfork222/soft-fork-222, https://steemit.com/tron/@steemitblog/an-open-letter-to-the-community-hf22-5, https://twitter.com/justinsuntron/status/1234690483298820097, https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1234537996868653056, and do further research via Google/Twitter/Medium or just look for published news articles. Steem Protection soft fork is a protest to the use of SteemIt, Inc ninja-mined stake in reward distribution, witness voting, and proposal voting. These actions have always been understood to not be something SteemIt, Inc would partake in using the ninja-mined stake that amounts to at least 20% of the entire STEEM funds in existence. On top of the SteemIt, Inc stake, Binance, Huobi, and Poloniex teamed up with Justin Sun (Tron) to circumvent the community elected witnesses by misusing depositor funds on their respective exchanges. These actions have been deemed inacceptable by the Steem community and the witnesses are taking charge to retain ownership of the Steem blockchain. The witnesses believe Justin Sun is under the perception that by acquiring SteemIt, Inc, he also acquired the Steem blockchain. There has been much false reporting, fear mongering, and uncertainty that the soft fork code implemented in this repo has become necessary. Thanks for Reading and Don't Forget to Vote for the HUMAN Witnesses!
If you haven't done so already, join the fight against #Tron @justinsunsteemit and his band of hooligans by voting for the HUMAN witnesses on the witness list. They are easy to spot if you visit https://steemd.com/witnesses and take a look at their pricefeeds. Take a look at the picture below for an example; notice that our known HUMAN witnesses have updated price feeds (AND MORE VOTES THAN THE SOCK PUPPET #Tron FAKE WITNESSES)
@elipowell, feel free to power up the 12k STEEM you have in your account and actually use and participate with the community via the social media site you represent. Or is SteemIt.com too complicated or just not of interest to you?
I would love to engage you in public where all eyes can see. No sneaky games, no behind the scenes requests to chat. Me, you, AND THE WHOLE WORLD!
If I had one wish, it would be for you to add newlines to your commit messages! https://chris.beams.io/posts/git-commit/
Would help me read it tremendously.
This isn't a commit for code. This is a commit that has a long message of context. This is not something that can be reduced to be more one line legible on repos.
Idk why you are linking "how to make good commit messages" as if this is somehow the same thing.
That said you can always copy paste the message and add line breaks.
The Steem blockchain is currently being attacked by a central authority in order to take control of the witnesses. If you are not managing your witness votes, please consider setting @berniesanders as your witness voting proxy by clicking here to help restore the decentralization of Steem.
Funny enough, our always flaming, trashtalking bernie was true about Ned.. Listen to bernie this time guys! don't be wrong again.
he was right about ned and Justin LOL
Yeah man, he was spot on.

Eli Powell better speak up soon. What Justin Sun of Tron is doing is like espionage, like treason, to undermine and circumvent the voting mechanism. What they did via the centralized crypto exchange websites like Binance, Poloniex, etc, is like what Rothschild, Rockefeller, JP Morgan, centralized bankers, etc, did. It is the same. There are history books written on these things, including a book called The Killing of Uncle Sam.
Would he have done that if the witnesses would not have made that soft foam to take over Steemit, get rid of him?

Justin did what he did before we did what we did. Justin got exchange websites to steal money from people like Rothschild did. That is a crime. And then Justin said we were hackers. Justin said that lawyers said we did illegal stuff even as he did illegal stuff.
It's clearly complicated.
As I understood the witnesses came with the soft fork before Justin.did what he did or did he buy Steemit inc with stolen money or what he earned with plagiarism?😖
Justin created some witnesses and create new accounts to vote them into the top 20 to replace the former top 20. Specifically, Justin said that Tron would be transparent with Steem but went on to do things behind our back.
But he did that after some witnesses made a soft fork! As Steem started a lot was promised by the developers, in the past year most of it was changed/taken away.
What about the meeting of March 9???
Look at what he did before that and not after that. There are two parts to this, at least. So, don't get distracted by part two of the story.
Who is this "social media monkey?"
Happy day 💕

Good to see our community witnesses back on top!
You are a very bad boy. But I like bad boys.
good work
And
For transparency, wouldn't it be best to include the whole list. Essentially it prohibited just about everything with that stake.
The code is open source and simple to read for that list. Essentially for transparency you are asking me to cover everything that may save people two clicks?
It's on the linked code repo.
Just a suggestion for transparency's sake.
It might only be two clicks but some people may read just the text and come away with the wrong idea of what was restricted.
I may update post to add that later today if I remember!
