The first time I checked the steemit page, I remembered I saw a video and that steemians says something like yours:

STEEM is a path out of slavery. People are being paid for taking the same action on other social media sites. The difference is on STEEM, they earn something for it.

THAT's the most big true here, and that was what make me try to do something here. It's true, here you can earn something doing the same. And, most of the time people here will help you to improve in what you are doing, that's the spirit that keep me here, trying to be better day after day. There's a lot to learn, to understand and to enjoy.
