June 16, 2024 - Happy Eid My Muslim Friends
How are you guys? Good morning and Happy Eid everyone!
I woke up early to prepare the foods for breakfast after their Eid prayer later at 7am . All men will go to the plaza where the Eid prayer will be held. They are not praying inside the mosque but in an open air where they pray together. All Saudi and none Saudi Muslims will pray there together . The women member of the family will pray only at home and prepare the foods. I love the way how they pay respect this season of Eid Al Adha.
Tomorrow, will be a busy day for the slaughtering of the sacrificed animal. All the married children of my boss will buy lamb and I will be slicing and cook it. It would be a busy tiring day but I .grateful being a part of this family's tradition and culture.
As of now the food is already in the oven and will keep it for 4 hours to have the perfect tenderness. I cook meat , fish, salted fish and no rice buy they will eat it with bread.
I am still on going to my cooking session . I cook first the meat because it will take 4 to five hours in the oven. The banana and the cooked flour will be mixed together and it will become a sweets delicacy yo be eaten before eating the meat and bread.
Before serving the main breakfast , it would be a sunnah that they will eat dates and drink a cup of Arabic coffee after arriving from the Eid prayer.
