1. The Steemit Awards 2022 - closing soon
Nominations for this year's Steemit Awards are closing in a few hours.
This year there will again be awards for the three categories of Best Author, Best Contributor to the Community, and Best Community.
People are invited to make nomination posts before 11pm UTC on Sunday 11 December...
2. MultiSig for Steem
UPVU developer @realmankwon is developing a MultiSig facility for Steem.
This much needed feature will improve security on the platform by requiring active agreement from more than one account for important transactions. This will be very useful for community accounts to ensure funds cannot be removed by just one keyholder.
@realmankwon is working on this new feature first of all for UPVU accounts, but will then move on to making it available for the wider community...

3. AI Images come to Steem
The @future.witness team have brought AI image creation to Steem.
They have written a script that calls on DALL-E 2 from OpenAI to generate an AI image from given words.
DALL·E 2 is a new AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language.
To use the system just type !gen followed by your selection of words...
Here's one I made earlier with the words 'happy people from many countries reading newspapers photo realistic'...
4. Account Recovery with @retrieve
Community leader @rme has set up a new service to help improve security on the platform and make account recovery easier for anyone who has lost control of their account.

5. The Steem Watcher Portal
Developer @bountyking5 has developed a new Abuse Reporting Portal for the Steem Watcher project...
@abuse-watcher has announced the results of the fifth phase of Detective Recruitment for the Steem Watcher project. Out of ten applications only two Detectives were accepted in this round...
Official Steem Watcher Detectives have now been deployed to a number of communities to help them detect any instances of abuse.
So far Detectives are operating in World of Xpilar, Steem for Better Life, Steem Venezuela, Colombia-Original and the HindWhale communities...
6. Cotina Fest
Cotina Fest meetups took place in seven states in Venezuela yesterday including Lara State, Merida, Bolivar, Carupano, Apure, Aragua and Zulia.

The latest stats from @remlaps this week have revealed a small decrease in the amount of STEEM that is powered up.
The past week has seen a 370K SP (0.22%) decrease to 166,221,190 STEEM powered up, equivalent to a value of $30,031,349...
@remlaps continues to track the impact of Steemit's burnsteem25 campaign encouraging people to set a 25% beneficiary to @null to reduce the amount of STEEM, which potentially will increase its value.
In the past week there have been 861 burnsteem25 posts.
The total burnt since June has now exceeded 189K SP...

Dios, había leído acerca de las multifirmas hace mucho tiempo, será muy beneficioso para evitar la ruptura repentina de las comunidades (eso es ir un paso más al frente). Además de que aumentaría la confianza de quienes trabajan en comunidad. Buen trabajo a los encargados de ese desarrollo!!
Me agradó mucho leer acerca de los Cotinafest alrededor de Venezuela, por motivos mayores no pude asistir pero se que vendrán aún más oportunidades para interactuar con mis amigos de Steemit aquí en Bolívar
