RE: ALRIGHT, HOW DO I FIGURE OUT WHO STOLE MY STEEM? ANYONE?

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

Somehow your active key was compromised. It's possible you entered it or your account's master password to a phishing site or service that eventually became malicious. Did you enter your active key/password anywhere recently? Anything you can remember from the past?

You might want to make a support ticket with Blocktrades. You won't get your money back but at least you can let them know who's a thief.

So what I found out about this is it was some malware I got from a game fix I tried to download (stupid, stupid...) I figure it’s too late to figure this out with blocktrades (maybe not?)

Anyways, I quit for awhile, stopping back in to make a few posts and hang out. Pretty sure that nasty malware is gone now. How’s the open mic going these days? Populated?

Damn, well thanks for posting the follow up.

I took a big step back from Steem for a while and in the meantime luzcypher stopped doing it... probably my fault :(

AFAIK @isaria is hosting the successor to it

Not your fault at all! I actually started the new Sonic Groove contest along with @krystle and @ausbitbank. We would love to have you involved if you want to!

Here's a new music contest if you want to enter...we would love to hear your music!
