Great, simple post with the basics. One thing I suggest adding is the word "network" after "cryptocurrency" below the "What is Steem?" header.

At the risk of making it too complicated, I'd also add that the network hosts the content of Steem applications as well.

    Steem is a form of cryptocurrency network (smart digital money) like Bitcoin. It combines the ability to send/receive money and store information.
