Coffee & Society
"Never Underestimate the Importance of Being Properly Caffeinated"
Good reads, with fresh and organic coffee to start the day off ☕️
One of the worst things about society today is the world is full of narcissistic, self-centered, hyper sensitive people, and the rest of the world praises these people.
Common sense is no longer common.
There’s an old proverb that says “correct a wise man and he’ll thank you, correct a fool and he will hate you.”
The problem is people are comfortable with what they know. Learning new things can be intimidating, and most people are scared of learning the truth.
One of the 25 cognitive biases that prevents people from growing is called the confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is where people believe they are right even if the evidence they’re wrong is shoved in their face. So many people get mad when they see somebody doing better than them, because they’re self-conscious and don’t realize that they should be inspired by others, and not loathe them.
We are living in one of the best times in human history, but it’s also one of the worst. Never before has there been so much opportunity in the world, and never before have there been so many egotistical narcissists ready to take it away from you. Unfortunately, if you make a million dollars today, I guarantee someone close to you right now is ready to take it from you.
You see, people will judge you and be mad at you as you rise up through success. As Gandhi said, "first they will ignore you, then they will laugh at you, then they will hate you.” Here’s the thing, if you have the strength and the perseverance to endure the criticism, eventually they will love you.
People who go against the status quo are intimidating, but these are the people who change the world. You must be prepared for the fight and the struggle that's coming your way. - Tai L
I also love coffee, thanks for sharing. Best regards
