Dusk and dawn are the only times I've had any luck. People hunt with dogs in the middle of the day here, but that is a different game entirely.
If you can find a suburban area for bowhunting it couldn't be easier. Suburbia is crawling with deer if you can find a willing landowner. It could be anything. Even a little strip of woods between a shopping center and a power line could produce a monster buck.

I got this app over thanksgiving called onX. It shows all of the public owned lands, i just need to figure out if that 1 acre plot between the supermarket and the highway is huntable!!! Those suburban areas are the key place to hit unpressured bucks, but im sure theres a lot of flack for even going into those kind of areas with a bow, even if it is legal!
