RE: Returning To Fun On Steem

in #steem5 years ago

I think the negative attitude to new Appics users is bad for Steem. This is a neutral platform that can be used for anything. If some people want to use it for selfies and some big accounts want to support that then that's fair enough. Spreading the reach further may help increase the interest of investors and drive the price up. We all benefit from that. Steem has been stuck on a few thousand active users for ages and needs a breakthrough moment. Even a few hundred extra users could make a difference. If you want more crypto enthusiasts then reach out to them. We need evangelists in many areas.

Amen.
I did a few posts while away on Gran Canaria demonstrating this. I made a video, did a semi-long post - both on APPICS. It's like people protesting Busy.org or eSteem.

One of those ladies has more active followers on Instagram than our entire acitve Steem userbase :)

Getting anyone with a big following elsewhere onto Steem is valuable. Even getting a small proportion of their followers here would be valuable. Get a few thousand of them here and they each buy some Steem could give you a nice income. I want to see that happen.
