@wafrica is BLESSED with the most amazing team of people!
One of the very first people I talked to in Africa on Steem, was @jeaniepearl, soon after I first saw her TGIF. I was really blown away!
Such a cool charisma to her, she has style. OMG ;-)
The Style Queen in my book. If I need advice, I know who to talk to!
But of course, successful intelligent ladies, all the guys are after them, and they have no time. Always busy busy, too busy for love..
INTERVIEW WITH JEANIEPEARL
INTERVIEW WITH JEANIEPEARL
How did you learn about or find Steem and steemit.com?
A friend who is also one of my Crypto mentor Andrew STASH introduced me and many others to Steemit sometime in August. I had no clue what it was about just knew that it had to do with cryptocurrency which wasn't new to me. He is someone that has a versatile knowledge on opportunities online and whatever he shares is always onpoint. I joined without asking questions, later on they held a seminar and @amec was invited to the group to lecture us on what Steemit is about and how we can help eachother grow. We got talking and he assisted me on things and I needed to know and answered my questions, that was how the journey began.....
Had you ever used crypto-currency before STEEM and SBD?
Yes. The first cryptocurrency I ever used was Bitcoin during Zarfund days. I was the team leader of Zarfund Stars✨. The money I used to start up my account which was about 11 thousand naira is the only real cash I have ever put into cryptocurrency. We grew to an extent and I made some money. After Zarfund became too difficult, I quit cryptocurrency. One day another of my mentor boss Udeme sent me my first ever ETH with some encouraging words and I got motivated and interested in cryptocurrency again. I used the ETH to trade on bittrex did some ICO's and later got involved with airdrop. I was doing all that before I joined Steemit.
The name Zarfund Stars was created by me. Like I said, I was the team leader. We had a Facebook page, made fliers, banner and even T-shirt. We met once in a while and the team was doing great until Zarfund became difficult due to accounts expiring and increase in price of bitcoin.
Your weekly Friday TGIF Show has become a big success in my view; how did you get the idea for it?
Hahahahahaha.....am blushing thanks for the compliment. I was away from Steemit for a month because of my exams in school. During the break ideas kept flooding in,I even had a long list of topics I would write on,I just couldn't wait for the exam to be over. Before then my niche was just fictional stories, poem, life talks, motivation, and @steemit-virus contest. I had fans because I do socialise well and comment on others post and people always complimented my uniqueness in writing but I was scared that I was forgotten because of the one month break, so I needed something that will draw people's attention to me. Also I wanted to be known for something, wanted to have a brand. I picked up my pen and that's how the show and the programs involved came to birth. Infact it's supposed to be longer than this, @mimy was the only person I shared the idea with and she advised me to cut off somethings that it will be too lengthy that I can do them in a different show. I took her advice and gave out the other ideas to people.
Who are your role models in life, before you encountered the STEEM network?
Lol....I am one weird person. I don't even have an instagram account so I don't follow people. I believe everyone is unique so I shouldnt place anybody other than myself as a role model. I believe in mentorship tho....I learn from people, especially from people's mistake. I pick things from different people and grow. But my celebrity personality is Alex from Big Brother Naija. I know it's weird but she is the only one that can make me run to twitter to check what she is up to.
Tell us something of your life outside the Steem world?
Kikikikikikikiki. What do I say oo? OK.... Because of my activities online, people create a wrong impression of me.They expect to see one very fine outspoken lady, lol....all wrong!!! I am very shy,I can't speak in a crowd, even when I was the Vice President of my department in Yabatech, I never spoke. I live a simple life, there are lot of things 90% of people living on earth have done that I haven't. I tasted Coldstone ice-cream for the first time on the 15th of June, 2018. I have never had a birthday cake. I am a self dependent lady..... I am not good at writing about myself joor, I prefer hearing from people.
Please tell us what part of Africa your family is originally from?
Something about the local traditions?
We are Nigerians, from Uruagu Nnewi,Anambra State. My State people don't have weird cultures, I think we are the most admired state in Igbo land tongues awt. we are popularly known for ofe onugbu(bitter leaf soup),palm wine and ofe akwu (palm kernel soup).
What issues are important to you, as a Nigerian and African person?
I can't think of anything for now. I have never been in a situation where my origin stopped me from achieving anything. Our education system is scam but am not really bothered, by God's grace i will my kids the best.
Tell us about what you study now in university?
I am studying Agricultural and bio-environmental Engineering, shortly refered to as Agricultural Engineering. It is a combination of Civil,Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. A BSC holder in my course can choose to do his/her masters in any of the other field and can also get employed in any of the other field. But specifically, Agricultural and bio-environmental Engineering is the application of knowledge of Engineering in the Farm to improve production, efficiency of farming and make farm products available all year round. It has to do with mechanisation, use of tractors, machines, structurea etc. Agricultural Engineering is divided into five main groups
- Farm Structure and Environment
- Farm power and machinery
- Crop Processing and storage
- Farm Electrification
- Soil and water conservation
Is there anything else on your mind I have not asked you about you would like to comment on?
I want to appreciate you for finding me. You are one of if not my main backbone on Steemit. With how taskful my schooling is I probably must have disappeared from Steemit. Thank you so much for all you have done for me in the open and behind. Also thanks for your special love for Nigeria and wafrica, you might not know the weight of what you have done and are still doing in life of many, God bless you. I know I haven't been available of late and probably not doing up to your expectations but it's beyond my power and i will surely come back strong someday and cover for these days.

Great interview from @jeaniepearl to learn a little more about his life and how his career has been up to here. Its beginning in Steemit I imagine that it was very promising since it had the necessary support to be able to grow in this community.
I would have liked to be able to read a little more about his personality or customs outside of Steemit, there is no doubt, you can tell that she is a fairly constant and fighter lady!
Go @jeaniepearl!!!
