Why is this important?

BTCC 's CEO has created a poll on Twitter what coins / tokens they should support moving forward. This is really one of the most important actions we can do as community - vote for Steem - let us make this happen, we ALL would benefit from this. We have the single advantage of being a very close and great community!

BTCC is a Chinese Crypto Exchange and could bring Steem to the next level, Steem could become really HUGE. Steemians Unite!

And again - spread this poll to everyone on steemit or EVEN better to everyone on Twitter you know.

Sort:

Monero team simply have better bots. Unfortunately.

Do they? That might be it - call for our experts here then :-)

This is all about bot power? There must be some bot power here also!

I would assume so indeed @bart2305

Sure its important and would be nice if they added it so other users in different regions are able to trade it easily thus making distribution more wide. But is one of the most important things? Meh, dunno about that.

I feel exchanges are lacking in re-searchers who on their own choose good currencies to add to their exchange. Creating Twitter polls that can be gamed easy would not be my first choice of deciding which currencies to add to an exchange.

Most important is keeping the platform going and growing as users and curators for a fair and wide distribution. The exchanges will come with time, for most of them its just business and if they see currencies getting a lot of volume somewhere else they add it sooner or later as to not miss out on trading fee's.

Good points!

The way I see it, I don't really think it's an exercise of democracy by Bobby Lee but rather a classic marketing ploy. Make people vote for a product and so they feel obligated to support it. In truth he has all the freedom in the world to release all trading pairs as he likes.. No one is stopping him as far as I know.

It's not to say it's all useless. After all. We can see now how strong we really are as a Steemit community and how powerful we can be when we unite and focus on our political will. People now know how numerous we are and how active is the Steem scene. So not all is lost.

However, there are many other pressing matters that we should be aware of internally. One of them I guess is the steemit platform itself. I don't complain but I definitely can see the things steemit.com can improved on. There are still some aches needed to be faced by mobile users (face it if ya ain't with it, mobile will be where the user influx floodgates be. Proof being the last few posts by me was mobile.) and I'm sure there are many many more things need to be ready to set the stage for a Mainstream break in.
But that's my 2 cents. Feels like it's been a few days since I made a comment worthy of the day. *hint hint ;P

LOL I was thinking of exactly that in the 2nd paragraph! :D

excellect comment!

PS! I haven't gotten around to post the daily contest even!

Hahaha.. Busy man you are!

Valid points @acidyo - first it sounded really weird to me as well they select a currency based on Twitter Polls that indeed could be manipulated - therefore I am not sure what really will happen with the Final round results are in. I would assume they analyse data and come to a decision after that. But who knows?

Agree in general we need to grow the platform fair - we might want to grow at a lower pace though and then the exchanges come. The poll now at least gives some brand awareness which should at least attract new users if we should not win.

I would assume they analyse data and come to a decision after that.

Yeah hope they at least check for abuse on the vote counts - monero rising like that considering how small of a community it is in general/compared to steemit was a bit surprising.

True :)

Resteem. I have voted yesterday.

Thanks a lot - you are a Star!

Hopefully we succeed :) Resteemed.

.@YourBTCC The Battle of Digital Currencies! Which should @YourBTCC offer?
Semi-finals, poll 1 of 2: #Vote now and… twitter.com/i/web/status/8…

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

I have a longtime account on twitter and I have already voted and retweeted. However, not for this gain on Steemit!

That is great, thanks a lot! What you mean with gain? I am resteeming anyone promoting it via their posts - we just need to spread it

Resteem. I have voted yesterday.

Excellent, thanks so much

Good post
I upvote and follow you, would you like to do ?

Thanks a lot - i will check your profile - you need to be careful not to ask people to follow back or so as that would be considered as spam - meaningful comments without asking for sth are more appreciated

Thank you for advice.. will take care :)

Voted again and retweeted, Not nice to see that monero has overtaken us. But in any case we are a strong community and great posts like this help to spread the word. I doubt the Monero community is any match for Steemit and sooner or later I can only imagine that we will be listed there and a few other exchanges that nobody suspects. Resteemed!

Thanks amigo - it gives us at least some brand recognition and hopefully strengthens the community
