Hi Steemians,

We have already discussed in details about the Content Type on steem network in our last post.

Now here is another important topic that need to be shared in depth.

I have seen many accounts on steem network that are few days or weeks old and have got a low reputation score. , less than 25.

Because steem ecosystem is designed in such a way that no set of rules are specified so that user have their free choice to upvote the content they want to.

But we have some accounts and teams that are actively working on the network to filter it from spam and fraudulent activities.

As there are no rules specified but still there are certains DO's and Don't that a user can follow and avoid getting flagged based on their activity.

NOT TO DO (Authors)

=> Don't Add Direct referral links in your post, linking to any other website.

=> Avoid promoting any 3rd party Websites that are HYIP based.

=> Don't create a post based on copy/paste material including news feeds.

=> If you are using Upvote bots, Select the amount of upvote based on the type and quality of content (if you are not able to decide, just find similar content by some good author and don't exceed the limit).

=> If you are using Images from search image. make sure to use license free images. This is the most common mistake I have seen.

=> Post length does matter. Don't be too short and don't be too long. (will cover this later in details)

NOT TO DO (Users/Curators)

=> Don't Upvote the content that doesn't respect the network itself. (simple)

=> Don't post a comment saying 'i follow you, follow me back' or anything similar, higher chances are that you might get flag on your comment.

=> Don't Resteem anything that is not valuable.

=> Welcome and promote new members on the network.

=> Don't spam that network with non valuable comments below trending post in order to get some upvotes.

In Short, Steem network is full of opportunities and one can earn good amount of money even as a curator which no other network in the world allows to do.
So respecting the set of rules is better and may give you a long term success.
Remember it's not about the SteemPower you have in your account. It's all about the Quality of you content.

These were some of the Don't DOs tips that might help new Steemians to avoid getting flagged.

Make sure to add some tips in the comment sections below.
