Day 1 Comparisons : Steem vs. Everyone ElsesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steem7 years ago

As I sit here getting ready for work, the first realization I've come to is that this is going to be harder than I thought it would be.
I find myself impulsively clicking on my various social media applications before realizing I'm only using steem.

This brings up my first issue I'm having:
Steem is awful for mobile users.

I find the site is very intuitive at home on my PC but the mobile optimized site is not as streamlined as I would like.
It's very difficult to draft this, even now the "draft saved" icon obscures my view.

This isn't all bad!

Although i would like a dedicated app or a simplified mobile interface, by taking the slow road I'm finding every word I type to be more deliberate.
This is looking more and more like it's going to be possible.

Time to look for more guides on formatting.

Please drop links to other steem posts on formatting for minnows. ;)

Cheers,
Karl.

Keeping my ear to the ground on this issue...I haven't even attempted to log on to Steemit with my phone...patience is mine...yet I know time is fleeting...I'm pretty much housebound for some time to come.

It isn't all bad, my hope is that this post didn't come off overwhelmingly negative. I'm having a blast with it.

absolutely not...you're telling it as you see it...we need more trust in the information we gather...keeping it real goes a long way toward that goal...

...the fun is the best part of the journey

~may all hatred cease...let there be peace~

I can only hope this series takes off

Karl, how so true.

I tried Steemit on mobile. Ugh.

On desktop, I dig it though.

Perhaps the fact that Steemit is in Beta is why I am not complaining.
