I would rather buy an eBook with Steem, than to power it up (2020.02.28)

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

I would rather buy an eBook with my liquid Steem, than to power it up. Yes, nowadays I am so disappointed in the Steem blockchain.

But I cannot even afford the eBook with my current liquid Steem due to the low price of Steem. The eBook would cost $5.07 USD. I currently (2020.02.28, 22:00 CET) have 20.052 Steem. 1 Steem is currently worth 0.166864 USD. 20.052 Steem is currently worth only $3.34 USD.

But someone should still build a web store for eBooks on the Steem blockchain.

Sort:

FYI, there's already a marketplace for digital content, built by steemleo.

Thank you for mentioning it. I checked out the Steemleo Shop. I have not seen real eBooks so far, but there are ad spots on MSP Waves, artworks, recipes, and other things. Maybe one eBook is an exception. "To knowing what the heck Bitcoin is", written by Mitchell Jaworski. The eBook is currently available for $2.99 USD. If someone will put up their own fantasy eBook, then I will surely buy it with Steem or with Steem Dollars (SBD) (or maybe with LEO), if it will be around $3 USD.

eBooks on STEEM would be very good and with endless possibilities for both readers and writers
Too bad that after the latest hard and soft forks which proved the oligarchic nature of the blockchain, no one is going to build anything on it

This only improves my disappointment in the Steem blockchain. I am thinking about powering down and leaving. And probably focusing on other blockchains, or on absolutely different things.

For me leaving is too drastic at this point. SteemIt is not dead yet. Powering down however is not so bad option... it seems better now to hold liquid Steem and SBD than worthless SP.

Hopefully things turn around on steem soon. It has been down in the dumps for so long.

Why its looks like your steemit journey depending on @Decooperation community

World never ends there keep using steemit they ingonre you no problem leave them and use or subscribe other community's

No, it is not depending on them. Not that specific community is the problem, but the behavior of the administrator(s)/moderator(s) of the communities. The problem with subscribing other communities is the precept that any community can easily censor you by ignoring/muting (blocking) you without any given reason. And that is called censorship. So the freedom of speech does not really exists after all on the entire Steem blockchain.
And I have had enough of the lack of real human comments across the entire Steem blockchain anyway. Not just/only under my posts, but almost under everyone's posts. I also have had enough of the false/fake positivity, the bot-like, spam-like comments. The most of the users, who are the selfish greedy. I think that the Steem blockchain is doomed by its own so-called community.

If you think community's are not censorship free and controlled by owners ,you can post as blog on steemit without subscribeing any community

I think all steem and steemit community and users are not same ,bad and good guys almost in every community don't lose hope

I am also active user of steemit and @actifit, @esteemapp @dpoll @Appics
I get many human comments for example everytime as created a poll on dpoll.io i get votes with comments i am shure they are not bots

If you think community's are not censorship free

Now I do not think. Now I know. And everyone should know it: What about the freedom of speech, dear @dcooperation?.

I get many human comments for example everytime as created a poll on dpoll.io i get votes with comments i am shure they are not bots

People are also vote on my dpoll polls too. But many do not write additional comments, so they are not really comments. Although currently probably this dApp is the only exception on the Steem blockchain for real human interaction. At least they are submitting some kind of answer to the questions. Even if only the pre-defined ones without any additional comments. If I post with Steemit, Busy, eSteem, SteemPeak, I rarely see real human comments. And most of the people can say the same thing. I also rarely see real human comments under other people's posts. Maybe the posts of the dolphins and whales are exceptions. And the posts under the "Trending" section. But most of those are also coming from the dolphins and whales.

Ebooks on Steem would be a great idea. Yeah, it's sad but Steem is disappointing and unfair.

I am very hopeful about the future of steem blockchain

Price is not everything in cryptocurrency and blockchain world there many other factors to consider

The low price of Steem is not the main thing why I am disappointed in the Steem blockchain.
Look around. Nowadays there are 23-32 000 daily active Steem users, 40 000+ posts per day, but the average number of comments per post is only 1-3. And most of those comments are bot comments. Nowadays the real human comments are rare on the Steem blockchain.
Even if people are write comments, they mostly write bot-like and spam-like comments (or write false positivity) to get attention to their own posts. Most of the Steem blockchain users are selfish and greedy. They focus only on their own posts, but they do not care about other people's posts. Most of the posts are either ignored or overlooked. This is disappointing. This is why a lot of people left and still leaving Steemit and the Steem blockchain.
Not to mention the fact that some communities may ignore/mute you without any given reason, just like @dcooperation ignore/mute me without any given reason. I asked them multiple times why are they ignore/mute me, but no one explained anything so far. I did not do anything wrong. I only expressed my opinion about various topics in the comments. This is censorship.
I wrote even a blog post about it three days ago (on 2020.02.27): Being ignored/muted in the @dcooperation community for no reason? Still no answer.
I have many reasons to be disappointed in the Steem blockchain.
The low price of Steem is just/only one reason.

That would be a great idea, selling eBook with Steem!

It is frustrating to see greedy people on Steem. I wish that they will all leave the blockchain, and the ones that stays are those who value the friendship they have build here. Hahaha! 😁😂 That would be an amazing community!

Thanks for using eSteem!
