Steem Basic Income - Enhanced Votes Graphs

Steem Basic Income

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Enhanced Support Graph

We first published this graph that 'maps' the interrelationships in our member pool a couple of months ago. When we reviewed it last month, there were some very interesting changes, as shown in this post:
https://steemit.com/basicincome/@steembasicincome/7qayey-steem-basic-income-enhanced-votes-graph

And here is the graph from this month:

(img source http://www.steemreports.com/votes-graph-enhanced/?accounts=steembasicincome)

It only shows the biggest hitters: people that regularly upvote each other or @steembasicincome, with multiple shares for bigger upvotes. That makes sense, because we have 1800 active members across six pools. All of those interrelationships would be too much for this chart.

Last month I wrote that "the enhanced votes graph is a lot less interesting as it used to be, since the leaders of different clusters are not closely bound to each other. Instead it looks like a lot of loosely related accounts which don't have a lot of connections other than their link to @steembasicincome."

This month I found it interesting that the cluster relationships in the leader accounts are starting to tighten up again. I attribute this largely to contests. As members enter each other's contests, it builds relationships that would otherwise have been very weak or non-existent. In effect, we are starting to build our own community between SBI members, as more people recognize the vision and start using it to build each other up. This makes me very optimistic about what will happen when we release SBI 2.0 and start rewarding community engagement. With community engagement happening even without extra incentives in place, imagine what can happen with!

If you think you're in a cluster, it could be more interesting to look for the enhanced graph of an account in your cluster that has a lot of shares. For example, I can approximate the #qc or #fr communities by looking at the enhanced vote graph for @steemquebec as the 'leader' account that showed in our own graph.

You can see that this is a very tightly woven community that uses @steembasicincome as ancillary support. If all the members shown were in pool 1, instead of being spread throughout the pools, we would look more integrated, but would still not be the driving force in this community. It has it's own leaders. In fact, one of them (@soushi888) already translated our new FAQ into French, and it's available here:
https://steemit.com/fr/@soushi888/traduction-steem-basic-income-faq

Just change the account name in the Steem Reports link to any account you want to look at, or load one account and then there is a box in the page to enter different accounts.

Delegation Bonus Shares

Existing members can receive bonus shares by delegation. For every 20 SP delegated to @steembasicincome, members will receive 1 bonus share. Any Steemian that is already enrolled in @steembasicincome can delegate as much as they would like, to receive bonus shares. We will publish our delegation sources update again this week, so if you want your support showcased, now is your chance!

Here are some Handy Delegation links:

Enrollment

If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.

If you're unclear, please check out our full transaction memo guidelines and then let us know if you have any questions.
https://steemit.com/basicincome/@steembasicincome/steem-basic-income-new-transaction-memo-guidelines

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We accept SBD at our discretion (usually when they're very close, or when SBD is stronger) but you do not receive extra value or any partial refund for paying in SBD instead of STEEM. If we choose to accept an SBD enrollment, we accept the entire amount. If we choose to reject it, we refund the entire amount and request you to send STEEM instead.

Glad to be presented in that graph ;)

Thanks to @soushi888 for the introduction to that great project!

@yveslanthier @studio666 you're there too

Hey! I'm glad to be a part of it! To make a difference in a project it's always a nice feeling! Thanks :)

Glad you feel that way, by the way if you keep posting 3-4 publication per week for a Month, I will add you other parts in that Basic Income Project, which should be a good motivation to continue your excellent content creator passion.

Thanks for giving me share, it's appreciated

You deserve it, continue your alternative medias network!

You now have s Good Basic Income ;)

I have not joined, but would like to join, can I sponsor members who have joined the project ,?

You can sponsor any member of steem. All they need is an account and it would be helpful if they posted at least once a week

I have joined into the project by sending 1 STEEM, I sponsored @steemitnatural ,,
is there anything else i need to do ,,?

We process enrollments in batches, and there is typically a 1-2 day delay.

If you use Steemauto fanbase or SteemVoter, you can also add @steembasicincome for a bonus to your upvote weight.

It's definitely a marvelous program, and a great incentive for newcomers... and a nice way to practice the whole "pay it forward" philosophy.

Going to gift a couple of people in again; but I did notice that I sponsored someone in on 4/4/18 — they got their share, but I could not find myself in the spreadsheets. Probably just fell through the cracks... or did I miss something in the guidelines? Since the Steemit wallet is a bit dodgy on how far you can go backwards, here's a screen shot from Steemd:

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I checked the transactions and your sponsee had the right count but yours was missed. I have processed your enrollment now. When we move onto our fully automated system, I will make sure it uses your original transaction date/time to calculate your catch up values.

Thank you! I am sure this must have been a huge and rather tedious task to track manually, so I can well understand that a few might slip through the cracks here and there. Appreciate the responsiveness; will definitely sponsor more people in, as we go along!

Considering how many enrollments I have manually processed, it never quite surprises me to find one I missed. Reconciliation of my manual sheets against our automated system (still in testing) has proved illuminating as well.

I have joined, but do not know how I can contribute more in this project, thanks for the answer,

They do a bonus system. To get this allyou have to do it upvote thier posts. The bonus is 0-100% of your shares.
They calculate this bonus on a 28 day running total. So if you upvote 28 times in 28 days you get 100%. The best way to do this is to make sure you upvote thier post or comment everyday. This will double your shares. Then you can save up your steem to get more shares or enter the competitions that give away free sbi shares to the winners.

can i comment anywhere, for example on posting my friends, or must on posting member @steembasicincome
and whether in the post I should include the #steembasicincome tag or I am free to choose my tag

You do not have to use the #steembasicincome tag (and it's better if you don't, unless you are giving shares for a contest or writing about Steem Basic Income).

I'm encouraged to see the project doing so well. It seems like it's continuing to gain traction. I really appreciated the votes when I was starting out and I hope that it continues to help red fish get their start.

Thanks for your support!

Everytime I read about the updates of this project I get such a positive feelingg! Really like the graphs and what you can take from it. Also looking forward what 2.0 will bring! Thanks to everyone for making this project what it is today!

Thank you for your support!

Very cool, but could you please add a link for smaller delegation ?! Currently i'am thinking about to delegate some SP :) Anyhow, very cool. :)

Good idea; I really should have a link for 20 SP. We do recommend that you have enough SP for the slider before delegating, of course. Being able to provide meaningful upvotes to your commenters is a proven method to keep your audience growing.

Lol heavy hitters? Never thought I'd be on a list of heavy hitters.

Posts like this will increase community even more I imagine. Since there's names there in the open, it'll be even easier to see them.

I already see many names I recognize when I flip through the members spreadsheet. Hopefully this network will grow and strengthen even more.

Good points. We are trying to increase community while living in transparency, so I hope you're right!

Ignore me if you have answered this before, how are you generating those graphs?

Thanks! That is one neat tool.

Exciting future for everyone involved. : )
