RE: My Final Post on Steemit

in #steemboard5 years ago

Hey, wanna know a fun fact? Several of the Winesses have referred to authors on the site as being "Marxist" because apparently the authors aren't supposed to be rewarded for their work as it's the "Block-Verifiers" who do the real work... The irony is that your counter-description is spot on!

I must agree as well, if Steem ever spikes again, I'm gonna start pulling out as well. There are other social blockchains out there, other crypto social networks. Steem has run aground and I don't think it will be pulled back out to sea.

Sort:

That's part of the liberal playbook, accuse others of the actions you are taking. I wouldn't wait for the spike, if a spike does come it might not even get you back to where you are today.

Thanks for the validation.

Of course it is, because how dare they have to be responsible for their actions... The witnesses are part of the reason why Steem is failing, along with issues like Steemit's premined tokens. I am truly thinking Steemit is doing a longhaul exit scam. Selling 800k Steem a month certainly makes it seem that way. I guess they don't understand how economics works, or else they would realize that doing that is part of what's driving down Steem prices.

Yeah, I just dumped all those Steem Engine Tokens, I also made sure all of my liquid steem is in SBD to keep it from losing any more value. Don't forget to dump your tokens too. Most are crap, but a few, like Leo and SteemSpeak, are worth more than their face value in Steem.

They're probably wanting to get everything they can out of Steemit before they announce it's failure to the public to completely drive the value to zero.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. I'd also suspect the witnesses are involved in it to, considering how easily HF21 passed muster without even an ounce of dissent.

Dissent makes you a bad socialist, no one wants to be a bad socialist comrade.

I'm glad you, at least, got to read this post. With no censorship on Steemit, I still expected it to get downvoted into oblivion before it could be read.

Oh yes, thoughts are dangerous after all, no one wants to actually think. So let others think for you, comrade!

Indeed, I saw it within 30 minutes of you posting it (and I have a system setup to upvote content by authors I like). I will say, the censorship-less network is nice... I do still think their is a place for social blockchain networks, but Steem just isn't it, not in its current form. Maybe someone can fork-off old Steem code and remake the network, as it should have been. Or maybe it's better to start from scratch and try again...

In any case, you on any other platform? Twitter, Telegram, Minds, Gab? I quite liked the content you made!

I actually have very little interest in social media. I actually wrote a post on Steemit about being annoyed by notifications and one of the things I liked here is that Steemit didn't invade my real life with notifications. Twitter is out for me, many people may like it, it's just not for me. My wife is on Twitter but she has an ability to ignore all the notifications that would drive me crazy. I have a Facebook page I rarely visit, much less use. Telegram, Minds, and Gab I will look into.

I have looked briefly at Medium and was not immediately turned off so it will get further investigation.

For now, I'm off to the real world.

Fair enough! Notifications don't bother me, but you're not the only I know who they do bother. Twitter is just a smoldering dumpster fire. Don't have a FB, never have... never will. Telegram is both a nice messenger and now public channel, especially since Twitter starting banning for thinking wrong. Minds is like Medium but less stuck up and less corporatized. Gab is ok, just avoid the stupid's on there. If I had to pick one, I'd say Minds, it's also decentralized and uses Ethereum tokens as rewards, so it's pretty good. Gab is also decent too, if for shorter posts.

Anyways, later man. If you ever do open more accounts, shoot me a reply! I'd be happy to follow you on other platforms.
