THE BLOOD THAT CAN NOT BE GROUPED
One day in the year 2015, I sat watching a TV documentary on an Australian man. This man had a very uncommon blood group and his blood contained some rare antibodies.
Now, these antibodies were needed to produce vaccines against a fatal disease plaguing children between the ages of 1 and 5 in his country.
So, he had been donating blood from a young age.
As at the day the documentary was being aired on T.V, he had donated blood over 1,100 times.
The procedure involved taking blood from his body, passing it through the extracting machine and then returning it to his body.
His blood donation had saved many children. He became a national hero and was celebrated and given many national awards.
A particular mother requested to meet the donor of the blood that saved her child and the meeting was arranged. It was a very emotional event. The woman held him, wept and wept.
Believe you me, I was touched. Tear drops had rolled down my cheeks before I realised it. 😢.
Then, the reality dawned on me . . . . If a human blood donor could be this celebrated, how much do I appreciate and celebrate Jesus who shed His blood for me?.
The blood that flowed in His veins was the blood of God and was the currency used to purchase my redemption.
(Acts 20:28, Heb. 10:19).
That blood wasn't humanly formed but was divinely formed (Lk. 1:34-35).
It's also the only blood that has the efficacy for now and eternity (Heb. 9:11-12).
It speaks better things than the blood of Abel (or any other man/creature) - Heb. 12:24.
NEW KING JAMES VERSION
It puts the mark 'DO NOT TOUCH' over our lives when evil lurks (Ex. 12:13)
And guess what . . . . IT BELONGS TO NO BLOOD GROUP.
No! It can't be grouped even if the modern day tech. was available then. It's not the blood of man.
Hallelujah.
Surely 'God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform.' (hymn written by William Cowper, 1773).
Dearly beloved, we sure need to celebrate our Jesus more.
Thanks for reading.🙋♂
