Is God an egomaniac?

Good day steemit... Before we jump into this topic, let's define what is egomaniac? Egomaniac, can be defined as a state of considering yourself to be very important and do everything you want, without regards for anyone. someone who's full of pride and been self centered. Now human beings has been said to possess such feature somtimes and most times its unhealthy.

When you bring this same definition to a God, it does not make sense, because God happens to NOT be a human, he has no flesh, he does not breath our air, his ways are beyond our existence. his ways and doings are above our wisdom, he is perfect, he never make mistakes, he is not even allowed to make mistake, because of his glory. Anything he manifest is perfect, even when he does wrong, it turns out to be right, you cant say such person is an egomaniac.

But as humans, most people would argue that, when God said "that shall not worship any other God, except him", people feel he is been egomaniac. Now understand this part, Everything that exists today belongs to him, even our own life, we don't own our life, our life is like a gift to us, we don't feed God, we don't send him money, we don't build houses for him to live in, the only thing he requires of us is praise and worship. how do you consider someone who ask for what is rightfully he's, an egomaniac?

Another aspect people confuse is, when God took upon himself, human flesh, and came down as jesus christ to be with man and died for our sins, while on earth jesus made reference to this warnings, you could find it in (Matthew 10: 37-39) anyone who loves their father and mother more than me, is not worthy of me, anyone who loves their sons and daughters more than me, is not worthy of me, who ever does not take up their cross and follow me is not Worthy of me, who ever find their life will lose it and who ever losses their life for my sake will find it. Coming from a mortal man with a sinful nature, this statement would indicate ego, out of the highest order. BUT COMING FROM THE SON OF GOD, WHO IS ALSO GOD, THIS STATEMENT IS VERY APPROPRIATE AND CORRECT. No wonder, they crucified him, because the mind of man and God are very different, just as heaven is far and different from Earth. To understand God's word, you need to invite the holy spirit.

Even with his holy self-centeredness, God love mankind so much, (john 3: 16 ) that he sent his only begotten son, to come and pass through pain and suffering, and die for our sake. jesus could be in heaven with the father as God and allow mankind die away, but becaue of that love, which is the greatest, he took upon him the nature of man and came to give us eternal salvation. Now, will someone with an egomaniac attitude do this for you? jesus even prayed, because he saw the sufferings and was scared and asked the father, if its thy will, let this cup pass him by, but God, still allowed him suffer and died. just so you know, jesus spent 6 hours hanging on the cross, have you ever tried stabbing yourself with a nail for 6 hours? excluding the flogging and thorns and all, this he did out of love. Even if God ask for our soul, we owe it to him, because he owns it, but he gave us free will to choose.

God is perfect and makes no mistakes, and whatever he asks for from us, is his right. and with this I'll say, my brothers and sisters, that our lord God is NOT EGOMANIAC.
