The power of faith?

A very good day to you all. I'll like to tell you about the importance of faith as a Christian, the truth about faith and the power that faith itself possesses.

What is faith? Faith is having to believe without a single doubt, about something or someone. Faith can be simply put as your beliefs. For instance, as a Christian of this generation, we have never seen God, we have never seen Jesus Christ, we have never seen any thing they said happened in the Bible. We don't even know if it's true or lies. All we have to ourselves is the Bible, which could as easily be written by anyone, passing it down from generation to generation. All the stories we heard in the Bible, are all as a result of the things we've been taught in school or Sunday service or any Christian educative programs. As a matter of fact, there are actually people today in the world , that believes Jesus never walked this Earth, that believe everything in the Bible are just lies. People actually believe there's no God, no heaven or hell, no Satan, that the Bible is just a story and nothing real about it.

I actually met a man, at my friend's shop, here in Benin, Edo state, Nigeria, who told me face to face, that he does not believe in Jesus, that he only believes in God, also that, Jesus Christ never came to earth and it's all lies. He also said, he does not read the Bible and the Bible could've been easily written by anyone. I was stunned.

But the truth is this... There is a God the Father and there is Jesus Christ, and there is the holy spirit. There is heaven and there is Satan, there is good and there's bad. The word of God is not for everybody to accept, the teachings of the Bible is not supposed to he forced on anyone. If God actually wanted us to believe in him by force, he would have taken our free will and that would make us obligated to him, that would make us seem like robotics machines, who can't take decisions for themselves. The teachings of God and Jesus coming to Earth, are true and has been passed from generation to generation, for anyone who cares to listen and accept the truth.

•Faith in God, is that pillar the Christian religion was built on.

•It is by faith in God, we accept that there's a God, who is our father and our king.

•It is by faith in God, that when we prayer our prayers get answered.

•It is by faith in God, that we believe Jesus came to the world, suffered and died for our sins, in other for us to be free and make heaven on the last day.

•It is by faith in God, we believe there's a heaven we going to.

•It is by faith in God, we are saved.

•It is by faith in God, we stand as Christians and proclaim the word of God to the world.

•It by faith in God, trust and patience in God, that we achieve everything we ask.

•It is by faith in God, that we move mountains.

•It is by faith in God, that we proclaim the salvation of christ without fear.

In the Bible, before or after Jesus does a miracle, he always use the word faith. Faith is so powerful that, even before Christ declears your healing, you've been healed.

The lady that touched the garment of Jesus, jesus actually never prayed for her, or turned and laid his hands on her, but within herself, she BELIEVED that, as soon as she touch the edge of Jesus cloak, she's going to be healed, and when she actually touched it, the bible said, powers moved from Jesus to heal her. Now this is a very important lesson, we need to notice as Christians. Jesus never prayed for that lady, all she had was faith. Jesus himself said, "power has gone out from me". The book of look explains better (Luke 8: 43-47):

"[43] And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. [44] She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

"[45] "Who touched me?" Jesus asked.

When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."

[46] But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."

[47] Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. [48] Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

Most times all God want you to do is, go on your knees and talk to him, yourself. Not your pastor, not your mother in the lord, not anyone, but you. He wants you to speak to him.

That was the reason the curtains of the temple got turn into two. Because God has given us direct access to him, you don't need to go through any high priest or anyone, come to him and talk and he will listen like he always does.

You can't be a true Christan without faith, because faith makes you to believe without doubting whatever God reveals to you. It is by faith job never cursed God, it is by faith Elijah prayed and the heavens opened and fire came down to burn the sacrifice. It is by faith, Moses parted the red Sea with his staff, it is by faith in God, every prophet carried out their duties, without doubting anything he revealed to them.

So my brothers and sisters, build your faith in God, and with your faith in God, everything you seek shall be granted.
