Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Peace be with you all

1 Corinthians 11:2-16

"11:3 I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.
11:3 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
11:4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
11:5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved.
11:6 If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head

The church of Corinth at the time of Apostle Paul kept all the instructions that were delivered by him faithfully . For that matter they wrote to Paul and ask his opinion on certain matters . Paul in his own wisdom to attract the attention and their hearts start to praise them. Knowledge is meant to be shared and not to hold on it.

This is exactly what Paul did , he did not gave them a universal rule that binds all issues that was brought before him specifically on the covering of heads in public worship.

Paul made them understand that cultures sometimes have a great adverse impact to our Christian lives but when we are adhering to these cultures we need to ask ourselves this "Does it glorify God"

Paul's main concern is the need for all rightheous to be mindful of their behaviours. The head is used as a symbol of authority or supremacy , hence partnership and subordination ; it is therefore not a teaching of the superiority and inferiority of one against another , for we are equal before God.

Decency is expected from both men and women of God.
