Wealth: Living By The Word

Psalms 112:1-3

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth forever.

Our Opening Scripture tells us that the man who fears the Lord is blessed. How do we recognize the man who fears God? The Word tells us that he delights greatly in the Word to keep it; and it Says wealth and riches are in his house. This means he will have a house of his own, no matter what the situations looks like now. You may be in a rented apartment now, but know for sure that because you are a doer of the Word, you sure will have your own house. Not only will you have your own house, it says wealth and riches will be in it. Glory to God! Furthermore, it says the seed of the righteous shall be mighty upon the earth but the seed of the ungodly shall be cut off from the earth.

The idea that if a man fears the Lord, he will be poor, is not correct; neither is it true. Abraham was a blessed and prosperous man. In Genesis 24:1 the Word tells us, ’And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”

Abraham was blessed in all things. There was nothing that he lacked just because he was a doer of the Word. David feared the Lord and he was blessed. Solomon feared the Lord and the Lord blessed him. He didn't even ask for riches and honour; God gave him in addition to wisdom that he asked for.

James 1:22-25 tells us

But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone be a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself goes away and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

Everyone who looks into the perfect law of liberty, the living Word, and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, shall be blessed in what he does. The doer of the Word is the one who walks in the blessing of wealth, riches, honour and life. To attract wealth, riches and honour from the Lord, you must be a doer of the Word. Be a doer of the Word.

Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed

It matters to God that you, as His child, be prosperous. Your groveling in the dust, worried about how to pay the bills, barely managing to get by, and feeding from hand to mouth does not pleasure God at all.

I’ll say that again. Your prosperity and wealth is important to God.

Carefully examine the following verse; note my emphasis.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” (Psalm 35:27)

So, God has pleasure in your prosperity. In other words, when you are prosperous, He is happy.

Think about that.

Actually, one reason I want to prosper, and enjoy divine prosperity and wealth is because it brings pleasure to God.

Here’s another verse showing God’s attitude towards the prosperity of His children. Again, carefully note my emphasis:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2)

I always paraphrase the above verse thus, “Beloved, there are so many things that I wish for you, but above them all I wish that you prosper and be in health.”

It matters to God that you, as His child, be prosperous. Your groveling in the dust, worried about how to pay the bills, barely managing to get by, and feeding from hand to mouth does not pleasure God at all.

Your prosperity and wealth is important to God.”

God's plans for us is to live abundance life.
He says "I wish above all things that thou prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth".

He's always ready to bless us but all He required from us is obedience

God's Word will be your guide if you want to please Him in all that you do. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Ps. 119:105). "For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death" (Ps. 48:14). "O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps" (Jer. 10:23). "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding.

The Bible is inspired by God which makes it an amazing book. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (II Tim. 3:16,17). No other book can compare with this book or claim for itself what this book does.

God told Joshua, when he took the place of Moses, to operate by the Bible. If all believers would do what he did, they would live successful Christian lives. He said, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Josh. 1:8). The two things Joshua must do and all believers in Christ must do if they would be a success for Him are (1) meditate in it, and (2) observe to do according to all that is written therein.

Favored is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth significantly in his edicts. His seed should be strong upon earth: the age of the upright might be honored

"Everyone who looks into the perfect law of liberty, the living Word, and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, shall be blessed in what he does. The doer of the Word is the one who walks in the blessing of wealth, riches, honour and life. To attract wealth, riches and honour from the Lord, you must be a doer of the Word. Be a doer of the Word"
We should be doers of all good things. Because God's children are good.

Wow, what and astounding and educative post . indeed any one who fear the lord is blessed.
The bible made us to understand the fear of the lord is the begining of wisdom. Every thing we need to know about Christ is in the word of God and if we can follow the word, we will be bless.
Nice post.
God bless you.
