Do you have borrowed armor?

In 1 Samuel 17: 38-39 Saul offers his own armor for young David. I imagine that the king's battle armor must be something splendid. The best that there was, at last, was to protect the king's life from a powerful nation. It should be a more resistant type of metal, a more modern and strategic design of the time, in addition to beauty is clear. But I also imagine that little boy trying to find himself inside that armor and when he finds that it does not fit into his physical structure he simply rejects the king's offer, takes his cane and goes to the stream.

What a great lesson David gives us in this passage. He did not worry about assuming he was not used to that kind of suit. He did not bother to reject an offer from the king. He was not ashamed of who he was, or of what he knew, or of what was in his hands. David quickly recognized that the armor, however well-made, beautiful or efficient, prevented him from walking. He stopped fulfilling what God put in his heart and taught it throughout his daily devotion.

Many times, women are not able to refuse offers that were made to us because they were made by someone we think is important.

Many times we accept suggestions on how to proceed in situations of frightened people, people with little experience with God, little faith or trust in him.

Many times we accept armor that does not fit in a wise woman, does not conform to the standard that the Lord formed us and loves us.

Many times we even crave beautiful, modern armors but that does not look good on us, which were not made for us.

Be a wise woman who trusts in the Lord and in his word. It is based on the daily experiences that God gives you and when something is offered to you, you can quickly discern if it fits in the position that God called you and wants to put. Do not let anything stop you from walking in the direction of what the Lord put in your heart. He does not let anything stop him from fulfilling God's purpose for his life and life if his family.

Be wise

In a world with a system that enslaves humanity in all aspects of life, it is necessary to have the armor of God, to overcome is our option that God has determined that we choose.
