SteemChurch - Divine Intervention
Life is full of challenges. There are many obstacles and difficulties along life's pathway. Some of these are self-imposed through careless lifestyle while others are satan-induced.
When we find ourselves in such ugly situations, it sometimes appears as if God has totally forgotten us and there seems to be no hope of escape. From the record of Scriptures and the experiences of contemporary believers, we have often seen God show up mightily on the behalff of His children. Such was the case of Mordecai, a Jew and a slave in Shushan. God providentially rescued him and his fellow Jews from imminent extermination and promoted him to the position of authority in the foreign land.
God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will surely intervene in that issue of life if we can fully trust in Him.
Mordecai's Story
Mordecai was a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin. He was one of the captives of war from Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. He served as a gate man at the palace of king Ahasuerus. He was the instrument by which God delivered the king from being exterminated.
His good act was left unrewarded and unacknowledged for a long time.
It would have been very easy for Mordecai to loose faith in God. He could have chosen to forsake God, on the basis that God did not cause favour to shine upon him.
But he didn't. As a matter of fact, he was the spear head of the opposition to Haman's crave for worship and honour.
For this, and so many other reasons, Haman hated the Jews and wanted to eradicate them entirely.

However, when it seemed like Haman had won the battle, God intervened on behalf of Modercai and the Jews. The king experienced a strange sleepless night. This forced him to inquire into the kingdom's archives where he stumbled into Mordecai's benevolent act towards him in leaking the plot to assassinate him.
As a reward, he mandated Haman, the arch enemy of Mordecai and the Jews, to decorate him with materials of royalty and parade him round the kingdom. Eventually, Haman was hung in the gallow he had prepared for Mordecai. His status wasa forever changed after this event.
Mordecai's experience teaches us that our activities on earth whether good or bad, are being recorded. God is a good record keeper. A day of reckoning will surely come and every man shall be rewarded according to his works.
their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
1 Corithians 3:13-15
God is a faithful rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We should be steadfast in Him, unmoveable and always abounding in the work of the Lord, because our labour will not be in vain.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corithians 15:58
Life's challenges are many and varied. It is rare to see someone who will go through life without encountering any of them. Some of the issues of life for which we need to wait patiently to intervene are: Sickness, delay in getting the right life partner, delay in getting promotion, lack of business breakthrough, delay in getting children, financial hardship, etc.

Knowing that God is aware and interested in our difficult situations, we should not be unneccessarily anxious about situations. Our lives challenges may bring us to a point in which we feel that we have been completely forgotten. However, we should understand that God works in mysterious ways. As a child of God, you should be rest assured that God is with you and that He will surely bring your heart desires to pass. He knows what's best for you and he will bring it to you at the best time! He is never late!

I have been a witness to God's divine intervention. I was facing so many problems and I almost gave up. But just there and then, when I was at the edge, God salvaged the situation.
