We serve God or we serve Him

Hello my dear readers, there is nothing better than to serve our beloved God and not many are clear about what this means ... today I wanted to share this with you, I hope my dear community enjoys it.

"Serve the Lord with joy" (Psalm 100: 2)

Serve God? - What does it mean?
IT WILL BE:

It means doing what He says in a way that makes it be seen as supremely valuable in itself.

It means submitting to Him in a way that makes Him be seen as excellent.

DO NOT

There are ways of doing what He says that only draw attention to the fact that He is an authority, not a treasure.

That kind of service is not the service that God sends.

God has told us not to serve Him as if He needed something.

"It is not served by the hands of men, as if it needed something; for he is the one who gives everyone life and breath and all things "(Acts 17:25).

"The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).

The type of service that makes God be seen as valuable and excellent is the type that serves God by constantly receiving from God.

A genuine service can not be separated from love. We can go through the routine of serving God, but if our hearts are not involved, we are wrong. First Corinthians 13 makes it clear that, unless our service is rooted in love, it makes no sense.

God is seen as glorious when all our service is to receive God's provision moment by moment.

We receive this provision by faith. That is, we trust moment by moment that, what we need to serve him, will be provided by him ("life and breath and all things").

Such service is glad. And it makes God seen not as less authoritative, but as infinitely more desirable. This is the glory that He proposes to have. The Giver receives the glory.

We can only give what we have received first. The reason we can love and serve God is because he loved us and served first through Jesus Christ. The more we are aware and experience the love of God in our lives, the more likely we are to respond in love by serving Him.

Darnos a los demás es servidor, el mismo Señor nos dice yo no vine a ser servido sino a servir.
