¿Cómo buscamos a Dios? || How do we seek God?

For many people, faith in Christ is doing “Christian works,” which consists of going to church every Sunday and reading the Bible from time to time.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory
Colossians 3.1-4

Through conversion, Christians desire to know more about God and seek Him more and more as they practice their faith throughout their lives.

By gradually focusing our attention on everything in the world, we can distance ourselves and waste our spiritual privileges. When we say that we seek the Lord, we are not telling you to put aside your plans, dreams and projects.

Little by little, as we dedicate ourselves to God, that is, as we read his Word and meet other Christians, our faith grows and we find ourselves wanting to know more about Him also increases. It doesn't happen automatically. However, it requires effort on our part.

The way to seek God is by reading his Word. The Holy Spirit begins to work through him, the Lord reveals himself and we look forward to him more.

So, if our gaze is oriented toward the things far away from God, it is time for you to reflect on what is best for your life, to set your sights on things above, where Christ is.

Para muchas personas, la fe en Cristo es el hecho de hacer “obras cristianas”, que consisten en ir a la iglesia todos los domingos y leer la Biblia de vez en cuando.

A través de la conversión, los cristianos desean saber más acerca de Dios y buscarlo cada vez más a medida que practican su fe a lo largo de sus vidas.

Al centrar gradualmente nuestra atención en todo lo que hay en el mundo, podemos distanciarnos y desperdiciar nuestros privilegios espirituales. Cuando decimos que buscamos al Señor, no te estamos diciendo que dejes de lado tus planes, sueños y proyectos.

Poco a poco, a medida que nos dedicamos a Dios, es decir, a medida que leemos Su Palabra y conocemos a otros cristianos, nuestra fe crece y nos encontramos con ganas de saber más de Él también aumenta. No sucede automáticamente. Sin embargo, requiere esfuerzo de nuestra parte.

La manera de buscar a Dios es leyendo Su Palabra. El Espíritu Santo comienza a obrar a través de él, el Señor se revela y lo esperamos con más ansias.

Entonces, si nuestra mirada está orientada a las cosas lejanas de Dios es momento que reflexiones que es lo conveniente para tu vida, poner la vista en las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo.
