In this example the Apostle Paul is talking about what he has experienced on many occasions, prison, persecution, whippings, loneliness, accusations, etc.
And not only this, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces patience;
and patience, trial; and the test, hope;
and hope does not disgrace; because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3-5
Where is your hope placed? From there you can be certain of where your gaze is placed, in any case point to those who have the ability to give us hope.
God has glorified himself in an excellent way in Paul's life and he wants to do the same with you. In any tribulation you are going through right now, it is necessary that you focus on the one who gives you hope, through Christ we have PEACE! Be sure that your storm will end, the sun will soon rise and you will shine.
Blessed be the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation,
Who comforts us in all our tribulations, so that we can also comfort those who are in any distress, with the consolation with which we are comforted from God.
2 Corinthians 1:4
When you shine, do not forget where the Lord took you from, we have been comforted to comfort others, we have been rescued to rescue others. Now you know that what you are going through can remain in memory as the worst thing that has happened to you or it can become the best learning and testimony to encourage and console others, this depends on you.

Y no sólo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia;
y la paciencia, prueba; y la prueba, esperanza;
2 Corintios 1:4
