Greetings to you all great steemians of the @steemchurch, yesterday I talk about parables, important of parables and why Jesus use parables, today I will be talking about one the most important parable 'the ten virgins'.
This parable is very clear to some people but to some is a misery, but I will like to talk more about this parable and make it clear.

(Matthew 25:1-13)
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

THE TEN VIRGIN
this Parable is related to His second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. in (mattew 25:1-4)

1 At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The oil quite quite typically represents the anointing of the Holy Spirit and which is it through out the Bible, the ten virgins means the believers, the foolish virgins are the one without Holy Spirit because they may have never truly repented and trusted in the Bridegroom, who is Jesus Christ and Who at His second coming will marry the church and the wise virgins are spirit filled. The lamp is often pictured in scripture and in our literature as a symbol of the spirit of a person.in (proverbs 20:27)

The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.

THE BRIDE GROOM ARRIVES
from(Matthew 25:5-7) Jesus Christ said

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

This is just testing of faith because the bridegroom was delayed the ten virgins slept off, we need to have faith, because in this darkest time many things are happening,Many are falling away from the faith today and by doing so,they reveal that they were really never in the faith.Just because someone says that they believe in Christ doesn’t mean that they are saved because even the Devil and his demons believe but of course, they are not saved.
SHUT OUT OF THE MARRIAGE FEAST

What a waste of life, how tragic this is, Jesus Christ said 'I know you not' It’s not whether a person knows Christ but whether He knows them. (Matthew 7:21) is strikingly similar to the end of the parable saying

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

** CONCLUSION**
Don't just say that you know God, repent and give your life to him, receive the Holy Ghost, don't just have faith, because faith without work is as good as nothing, create an intimacy with God, speak to him always by prayers. I pray God will help us as we do so ijn amen
