Putting trust in Jesus

in #steemchurch7 years ago

Hello dear brothers and sisters of Steemchurch, this is my first post to this beautiful community, I am Brazilian now I live in boa vista, I was invited by my sister @michellechristie who explained me about this wonderful platform and the most exciting of all is that I can talk on the word of God and to know more brothers around the world, to be able to help the most needy through the freedom that this platform offers, may God bless you all and I hope the developing theme is to your liking

Our trust is in Jesus, that is how our eyes and our hearts turned to Him, we learn to trust in a God full of love who came to seek us to change our life and fill it with joy and peace; The theme is really someone we have trusted, who Jesus is and what he did for us.

Let's read the Word of God in Psalm 56: 1-4
"Ten mercy on me, O God, for man would devour me, I have to fight every day, all day my enemies trample me down, >because there are many who fight against me with pride, in the day that I fear, I trust in you, in God I will praise his >word, in trusting God, I will not fear, what can man do to me?

Every day, when we leave our house to face confrontations in a world that is under the power of the evil one, Philippians 2:15, it is a battle that we must fight every day with that enemy that is waiting for us to make us back on the path of the Lord and to prevent us from fulfilling God's purpose for our life.

It is a battle to the death in which the old man that still exists within us, that part of the old creature that we do not despise as our pride, our pride, pride or whatever you want from the flesh, that although hidden it still exists in our heart.

The mind is the battlefield

Desires and passions that when we come into contact with the world are updated and claim to occupy the first places in our lives, even when we know that "Everything in the world, the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the the glory of life, they do not come from the Father, but from the world, and the world passes away, and its desires, but he who does the will of God abides forever "(Philippians 2: 16-17).

When we face the quotidian of our days we must also confront our faith and Christian life with which it lacks knowledge of the truth of the Word of God, it pleases us and reproves us in the midst of its pride, 1 John 5:19.

It is possible when we must show where our trust is by remembering the words of Peter: "If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the glorious Spirit of God rests in you." Indeed, on their behalf, he is blasphemed, but in himself he is glorified "(1 Peter 4:14).

When we make the word of God come alive in us, we simply trust and we do not like men or what we may survive, we all say: "In the day that I fear, I trust in you", because we know that we have who we are. It pleads, 1 John 2: 1, and therefore it is not necessary for us to confront the world if it is not to win the world for Christ

When the word of God comes alive in you "Then you will walk reliably on your way, and your foot will not stumble." When you lie down, you are not afraid, but you will lie down, and your dream will be pleasant "(Proverbs 3: 23-24).

The enemy prowls around us like a lion, 1 Peter 5: 8, and the world wants us to retreat in our walk towards Jesus, because he says to us: "Trust, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

Christ won for us to come for Him, because "Who is it that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5: 5); we believe and know that with Christ we are more than conquerors, Romans 8:37, because we have stripped ourselves of the old man, Ephesians 4:22, and he here that old things happened, our whole life made new, 2 Corinthians 5: 17, for the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

Let's read now Hebrews 9: 23-24
"It was therefore necessary that the figures of the heavenly things should be purified, but the heavenly things >themselves, with better sacrifices than these, because Christ did not enter the sanctuary made with hands, a real figure >God in heaven, now in God before, "and then in 10:12" Christ, having once offered a once-for-all sacrifice for sins, has >sat down at the right hand of God. "

We know that we can trust and that through the means of that trust we will emerge triumphant from all the struggle and from every trial, the issue now is to recognize the work of Jesus in favor of each one of us; The issue is knowing everything he did so that today it was worth the way we do it.

To trust in God is to be sure that we are going to receive what we expect from Him. It is to be fully convinced that something exists, even when it can not be seen. God did great things with our ancestors because they trusted Him. Welcome to Steemchurch sister @estephanie and thank you for sharing
