HOLY SPIRIT

Judges 16:15-17,

And she said unto him,How canst thou say,I love thee,when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times,and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. And it came to pass,when she pressed him daily with her words,and urged him,so that his soul was vexed unto death;
That he told her all his heart,and said unto her,There hath not come a razor upon mine head;for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven,then my strength will go from me,and I shall become weak,and be like any other man.

Before God can choose you,you must be spirit filled,and how can you be filled? It is by allowing the Holy spirit dwell in you on one condition, it is by living a holy life,life without stain/blemish. The Holy spirit does not dwell where sin abound. It is unrighteous before God. The Bible says those that must worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth.

In our Bible text,the case study was on Samson. Samson has been a powerful man that God had been helping him in all ways,he was so powerful that there is no battle He can't win. But he made a mistake when he refused the warning that he must not marry a strange woman.

As Christians,we need to pray for the right partner in order not to marry the one that will destroy our relationship with God. When as a pastor,you marry an ungodly woman,there will be chaos in the home because she wouldn't want you to be disturbing her when you are studying the word of God. She will come to ruin your life and your ministry. There are many ladies and men sent out from the kingdom of Satan to destroy those who serve the Lord with all their heart but if care is not taken or you are not filled with the Holy Spirit,you are already in the cage. A person without the holy spirit will just be wandering about without anything to show for it because the devil is in his life.

The strange woman in Samson's life has come to destroy him without knowing,the woman tried all ways to know the source of his power so they can conquer him alongside with the Philistines. When a woman or man is set to destroy your life,it is not a day job,it is a gradual process. That was in the case of this woman,she tried all ways to make Samson tell her the source of his power,and she succeeded in it. Samson told her and immediately she made him sleep and thereafter call the enemies of Samson and they took him and tie him to a high tower.

When couples are not filled with the holy spirit in the house, someone will come into their life and destroy their home. A home that was sweet and happy before will now turn to a boxing house and sadness will fill their heart and that leads to divorce etc.

Ministers of God must always be spirit filled because of temptations and attack, if not,their ministry is at stake.

The Holy spirit guides and instruct us on what to do at the exact time,He made everything go smoothly when He is in charge of our lives. Though God stood by Samson but he regretted ever disobeying. Make sure the holy spirit dwells in you because you cannot leave your heart empy, one will come in. It is either the holy spirit or spirit from the devil. Once a bad spirit sees your heart empty,it will come and fill the space.

• Discerning from good and bad
• Controls
• Help etc

God bless you as you allow the holy spirit in you. If you don't have,pray for it and allow your heart to be opened for him to come in.
