the radiance of God’s glory

And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.. (Heb. 1:3 NAS)

The scripture above gives us a picture of who Jesus is. He is the radiance of the glory of God. The term “radiance” calls to mind the idea of the rays of a shining light.

The radiance of God’s glory is His light on the earth. Jesus is the Light of the world. That light is shining all over the earth, bringing illumination for man to know God.

A mystery of grace is that we find our identity in Him. Grace has brought us INTO CHRIST. Jesus said “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (Jn. 9:5). Jesus is no longer on earth.

He told us “you are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14). The radiance of God’s glory is still here today. That’s you! The Light of God, that is Jesus, has become one with you. Your Light is Christ Jesus. You are the light of God on the earth.

Ponder upon the verse above. Can you see yourself as the light of God, the radiance of His glory? Declare that “Christ is in me, and I am the radiance of God’s glory on the earth”.

Thank the Lord for the wonderful gift of grace, making us partakers of the divine nature. He has brought us into Himself!

Our greatest need in life (as Christians) is to see and savor the Son of God. Everything else either serves that purpose, or works against it. For this reason, I want to read the entire first chapter of Hebrews so we can hear out loud and publicly the glories of the Son of God incarnate.

Jesus is our bread and our daily drink, it is the bread that takes away the hunger to sow and once we taste it we want to look for more of Him. That each day Jesus will teach us to walk like Him and follow His example. God bless you
