What are you willing to lose out of love for Christ?

Greetings and Blessings for all good Christians!

Walking with Jesus brings us great blessings. It is He who gives us salvation, the hope of eternal life and the strength we need to live each day. He, in fact, cares about each of our needs.

But following it implies also suffering some losses. At present 's reading, Jesus speaks of the need for each to renounce himself and carry his own cross to follow him. (MARCH 8: 34-38)

In practice, it means giving up our will, setting aside our "I" and saying "no" to sin, to do only the will of God!

Some people are not willing to pay that price! But what about the Christians of some nations who, because of their faith, lose jobs, are rejected by friends and family and afflicted by the State, which takes away their freedom and even their own life? No one better than them to teach us what it is to deny ourselves and never deny Christ!

Perhaps you prefer not to declare your faith so as not to jeopardize your popularity and your opportunities. But Jesus said: what will gain from winning the whole world and losing his soul? or what would he give to man in exchange for his soul?

Today, God invites you to make a commitment with Him. Do not hesitate to choose to do God's will and not feel ashamed to be a Christian. Publicly assume your faith in Jesus! Following Christ is a source of pride, because in him we find true life! To please the world only to be accepted by others is not worth it! It is better to be approved by God! Remain faithful to the Lord, no matter what the cost, for Jesus said that anyone who comes to "lose" his life because of him will save it.

Jesus answered and said: Truly I tell you that there is no one who has left home, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel, who does not receive a hundred times more now in this time; houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the next century eternal life.
Mark 10: 29-30
