John 20:26-29

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Dear friends

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed!" To what extent do I appreciate the true blessing and the gift of my Christian faith? Do I thank God for this constantly, and I strive to put it into practice in my daily life?

In the case of the apostles close to Jesus, they also had doubts about their faith, so much so that after Christ rose again and appeared to the disciples, the apostle Thomas doubted that he was not present at the first encounter with the risen Christ.

The faith of Thomas was put to the test by what he implored to receive signs of the resurrection of his Lord.

However, at the moment of presenting himself with the disciples, Jesus does not have words of reproach, but of peace. Accept the emotional reaction of Thomas and proclaim one of the most beautiful expressions of faith of the gospel: "My Lord and my God." The risen Jesus brings peace to afflicted hearts, heals us and leads us to faith. So imagine Jesus taking us gently by the hand and feeling His presence. What words sprout from my grateful heart?

We are blessed when we believe in the constant Presence of the Living Jesus, even though we can not see it.

Jesus finds us on the path of life wherever we are. He knows that in our journey of faith we face many challenges. We will implore the Lord, to give us strength when we face tribulations in our lives, and have the courage to proclaim our act of faith in Him.
