BENEFITS OF OBEYING GOD (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

To obey God is to do His will,to walk in His path,to please Him in all that you do. Obedience to God is what makes the real Christians to have access to God's heart. God is always happy and ready to answer those that obey Him. There are so many benefits attached to obeying God and you will be happy also for all good things happening in your life.

A father who has children will want his children to obey him in all ways. When he tells them to do this or not to,and they follow his instructions, even in his heart,he blesses those children. A father whose children are problems to him because they are not obeying him will be sad and will not meet their needs whenever they call on him. That is in the case of our heavenly Father to his children. He created all things and also human beings,so He expects an act of obedience from us. When you don't obey God,there is no how He will answer you when you call on Him. When we tend to separate ourselves from His instructions, we are disconnected totally from His divine blessings until we find the connection back which is total obedience. We can find so many benefits of obedience in Deuteronomy 28:1-14.

Note this in verse 1,it says,
"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God,to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day,the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth."
These benefits cannot just come to you if you do not obey His commandments,not just that, but putting into practice all His will,then He will now pronounce all these blessings upon you.

• The first benefit of obedience is that you will be set above the nations on high. Do you know how wonderful it is when all nations are coming to bow at your feet? Hailing your name,you will be honoured in the midst of them because you obeyed Him.

• You will be blessed in the city and everywhere

• You shall not be barren but He will open your womb and bring out His fruits in you including all animals you are taking care of

• No evil shall befall you because you are God's own people,when others are going out and not coming in,you are safe from every dangers ahead and behind you.

• All enemies that wish you bad will be put to shame and they will come worshipping you. Even their plans will not succeed.

• Everything around you shall be blessed

• He will open up good treasures from heaven for you and bless the works of your hand

• You shall not beg but lend to people

• You shall be the head and not the tail in everything you do

These are the blessings that will come to you when you obey God and do His will.
