STEEMCHURCH: The Humility
As an adult, Jesus demonstrated his humility by putting the will of Jehovah before his. During his ministry he used the divine name and helped people with a good heart to know with the qualities of Jehovah and his purpose for humanity. In addition, he lived according to what he taught about God. For example, the model prayer began, saying: "Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name." In this way he stressed that the main thing is the sanctification of the name of Jehovah. And he himself preached by example. Therefore, towards the end of his economy he was able to say to his heavenly Father: "You have given a name to the apostles, and I will make it known." In addition, he always gave Jehovah the credit for everything he accomplished on Earth.
- "HUMBLE AT HEART"
Jesus invited "all who labor and are burdened" to come to him. "Take my yoke upon yourselves and learn from me," he said, "for I am of gentle genius and humble of heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls." (Matthew 11:28, 29) As he was humble and gentle, he tried to imperfect human beings with kindness and impartiality. He did not ask his disciples more than they could give, but he praised and encouraged them. It did not make them feel useless or unworthy. And, of course, it was not hard or oppressive with them. On the contrary, he guaranteed that if they approached him and followed his teachings, they would feel comforted, for his yoke was soft and his burden light. People felt comfortable by their side regardless of their age or sex (Matthew 11:30).
- "HE THAT IS HUMILLE SHALL BE EXALTED"
The humility that Jesus Christ has manifested throughout his life is a source of joy and great benefits. Jehovah rejoiced to see his beloved Son submit willingly to his will. The apostles and disciples felt revitalized by Jesus' flat and peaceful personality. Their example, their teachings and their affectionate compliments prompted them to progress spiritually. The common people benefited from their humility because he was helping them, teaching them and encouraging them. And all obedient human beings will receive eternal blessings thanks to their redemptive sacrifice.
- JESUS WILL HAVE "IN THE CAUSE OF TRUTH AND HUMILITY"
In the future, the Son of God will continue to be humble. The psalmist predicted how Jesus will act against his enemies from his high position in the heavens: "In your splendor go on to success; He rides in the cause of truth and humility and justice "(Psalm 45: 4). In Armageddon, Jesus Christ will ride in defense of truth and justice, but also of humility. And what will happen at the end of the Thousand Year Reign when the Messianic King "has reduced to nothing all government and all authority and power"? With his characteristic humility, he will give "the kingdom to his God and Father" (1 Corinthians 15: 24-28)
