I fear the end of time. How can I get over it?
Fear is a very common problem, and it is one of the most effective weapons that satan uses against the minds of believers. Along with doubt and confusion, satan uses fear to paralyze us and make us ineffective in the spiritual battle. Fear is an emotion, and its effects are incredibly powerful, but a believer can fight the fear of the truth. If we know the truth about God, about the world and about ourselves, we can overcome fear.
The fear of the end of days is totally understandable, since the description of the end of days in the Book of Revelation stimulates many common fears: fear of the unknown, fear of death, fear of pain and disease, fear of lost. However, a believer who has a relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 10: 9-10) can have real comfort, even if future things are scary.
In the first place, we can count on the presence of the spirit of God to diminish our experience of fear. When He is with us, strengthens us and sustains us, we have no reason to fear (Isaiah 41:10). God himself promises to be close to us. He does not promise that bad things will never happen to us, but with God at our side, we will have the strength to handle anything that comes our way, be it disasters or anything else.
Second, we can be comforted by the fact that the end of days is not really the end. The Bible makes it clear that the final destiny of a believer is with Christ (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18) and that God will keep us safe as we patiently endure the trials of this world (Revelation 3:10). In addition, after trials related to the end of days, the kingdom of God will come to earth, and there will be a new earth and new heavens (Revelation 21). The end of the believer will be happy, we will be with Him eternally, in a place where there is no fear, no crying, no death, but joy, just as He has promised (Revelation 21: 3-4, Psalm 16:11 ).
Third, because we are in Christ, we should not fear the day of judgment. We are told to have confidence in the judgment, not because of our own merits, but because we are covered by the merits of Christ. He loves us, and His love casts out fear (1 John 4: 17-18). However, if you do not know the Lord, you have reason to fear. There is nothing more frightening than facing a perfect God who knows him perfectly and knows that he has lived up to perfection (Romans 3:20, 23). Jesus did not come to judge, but to save us. However, those who reject their offer of salvation will face the judge, and that really has to give fear (John 3: 17-18).
