1. The rich fool. - Luke 12:13-21

On one occasion as Jesus was teaching people that came to hear the word of God. One man came to Him and asked Him to assist him beg his brother to divide their family wealth/property and give him his own share. Then Jesus replied and said to him, *"Man, who made me a judge or dividers over you?" Jesus asked him this because He never expect a stranger to ask Him to interfere in his family matters. In line with the Jewish tradition, anyone outside a family should never interfere in the matter concerning the sharing of wealth.

He told them the parable of the rich fool to pass across a vital lesson when it comes to the issues of property and material wealth.

The farm of a wealthy man brought forth a huge harvest. The rich man was very pleased with himself, he look up and saw that the existing barn is too small to store his harvest proceeds. He said within himself; this is what i will do "I will pull down this small barn and build a larger ones and I would rest, eat and enjoy my wealth after storing my crops in the new barns." God took his life that same night because he failed to acknowledge that God is the owner of his life and has the power to take it.

The rich man was called a fool by Jesus, this also is applicable to those who are not rich towards God but think highly of themselves that they only needs their wealth in this world. In order not to be like the rich man in the Bible, we must spend time with your maker, do not forsake the gathering of brethren, trust and obey God and always stretches out our hands to the needy.
