THE WATER THAT HE GIVES

Welcome back to my blog!

Back to the business of the day. Do you know that there is a type of water that will quench your thirst forever but this water doesn't come from any other source rather than Jesus. Let's see John Chapter 4:6

  1. Now, Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the six hour.
  1. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink".
  2. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, " How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?". For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
  3. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink', you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water".
  4. The woman said to Him, " Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do you get that living water?
  5. Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestocks?"
  6. Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
  7. " But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.

The woman of Samaria was more concern about Jacob's well while Jesus is willing to give her a new water of life. The Jacob' s well of today represent the doctrine we receive in our church today. The Samaritan woman represent we christians. The message Jesus was passing across to the woman is that He who drinks from Jacob's well will surely thirst again; In other words after runing from one church to another, from one pastor to another seeking for solution to our problem but still our problem still remains the same. We have been drinking from the Jocob's well rather than acknowledging the main fountain of water.

The kind of water Jesus gives is undescribable, no one can give us such water. The only way to experience such living water is from His presence....having a personal encounter with your maker.

Thanks for stopping by

God bless you.
