Luke 4:18 (NKJV)
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Because he has anointed me to give good news to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted;
To proclaim freedom to the captives,
And sight to the blind;
To release the oppressed;

God anointed his son Jesus to give us everything we need in the world

By putting this grace into practice, we obtain benefits that without realizing come into our lives; which is intimately with spiritual growth.

By giving a gift knowing that we may not receive anything in return is a way to exercise our emotional maturity, nuestra capacidad de desapego y desarrollar nuestro don de ser generoso con los demás. Dar helps us change words for deeds, making our thoughts and emotions known. Seeing the expression of satisfaction on people's faces when we practice the grace of giving makes us feel valuable and important.

When we give with the heart without expecting to receive anything in return, God does reward with great blessings; by putting first the need of others before ours, God is looking at our love for our neighbor.

Not always talking about giving, refers to a monetary aid. We show love accompanying our friends or family when they go through a crisis, listening to them and helping those who feel lonely and need our support, when we help the elderly to cross the streets, helping to load the neighbor's market; in this way we can see that there are many ways we have to help our brothers.

There are many times we give without expecting to receive anything in return that becomes custom in our lives, which creates joy in the heart.

God created us to be givers, because at the end of our journey we have the hope of spending eternity giving eternal praise to God, but while that happens we must be permanent givers here on Earth. We can never be truly happy until we learn to adopt a lifestyle in which we become full-time givers.

Matthew 5:42 (RVR1960)
42 Give to him who asks you; and whoever wants to borrow from you, do not refuse him.

God from the beginning of time has asked us to help the needy, there are poor needy, but also rich in need, everyone needs something, and perhaps we are the solution to give them what they need.

Jesus said: Beware, and beware of all covetousness; because the life of man does not consist in the abundance of the goods that he possesses. (Luke 12:15)
