Obedience to God’s commands is the true sign of your love for God, and the only way you can know if you are obeying God is by knowing his Word.God has given humankind the innate power of choice: the choice of obedience leads to God's promised blessing of life; the choice of disobedience leads to curse, judgment, and death.obedience to God is very important because he said if you love me obey my commandments. As Christians, that higher authority is God Himself.Obedience is doing what God says, how he says it, and when he says to do it.

Some bible verses about obedience

1 corinthians 15:58 (NIV)

Dear friends,if our hearts do not condemn us,we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.

Romans 6:16(KJV)

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey;whether of sin unto death ,or of obedience unto righteousness.

Total obedience to God ensures that we will never fall out of his shadow or the secret place where He hides us,We must struggle to obey His instructions through the Word of God, through His prophets and prophecy , or through the still small voice.
