THE CHURCH AND THE END TIME

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. 2Tim 3:1-9[NIV].

Check around you, do you see these things play out today? It's a clear indication that the end is nearer than assumed.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Acts 2:40[KJV]

An Untoward generation is a perverse, corrupt generation that does not and is not ready to hearken to the voice of God. This is the type of generation that Peter advised people to avoid.
It is not in the plan of God to see any of His child end up in hell. It is in the mind of God to give us the content and the effects of the end time in the life of a child of God. The end time has no effect on the devil, this is because the devil is out advertising his markets to his own children. But it is the position of the church never to buy his products. The spirit of end time brings life of comparison between or among people, wanting to be and act like the other. Every additional negative ingredients demotes the standard of God. It is the end time spirit that makes a child to believe that he his wiser than the father.
Betrayal is also another spirit of the end time. But there is a call on the church to rise and live up to the expectations that it was called, serving as a salt of the earth which brings good taste to those living in the dark.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1Peter 2:9 [KJV].

God addresses us(the church) as a chosen generation even when we've derailed and not worthy to get close to Him. By that, He expects us to accept and claim decency to live a life reflecting His acceptance of us. Our praises and sacrifices can only be acceptable to Him if we live to show forth His marvelous light. We cannot dwell in sin and in the spirit of end time to praise God. No, never!

Thank you @mcchummy. This is an interesting topic. Over the years I have simplified my end time theology to two sentences: Jesus is coming back. Whenever He returns, I am going with Him.

I'm really excited that you didn't keep this good-news to yourself but did well to share it here for Christian brethren to encourage us and thus, depopulate the devil's kingdom and those that would perish with Him.
