In the book of ECCLESIASTES 7:21 it says
'' Don't pay attention to everything people say---y0U may hear your servant insulting you”

This Bible text before us recommends selective hearing, the reason being that getting engrossed with what every Dick, Tom, and Harry has to say will open you to uncomplimentary remarks. Another reason to practice selective hearing can be found in the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness. Numbers 14:1 says, “So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night”. That figure was something around two million people weeping! That was their response to the words brought by ten of the twelve men who went to spy the Promise Land. Ten of the spies simply defined the mission as impossible; and that created a tumult among two million! Words are powerful indeed.
Words can swing your emotion.

Some people are wrecked emotionally because of the type of words they are exposed to. A child that constantly hears derogatory words may struggle with low self-esteem sooner than later. Words can also eat at the root of your courage. If all you hear is about failure and lack, you stand the risk of never giving a go at anything in life. Of course, the health of your heart is directly related to the things that pass in-between your ears on a daily basis. One of your best safety valves is to be selective in the things you hear. The Bible enjoins us to keep our heart with all diligence, because out of it are the issues of life. We must never forget that the words we hear have a direct link to the heart. lnvariably. keeping your ears is keeping your heart.

What Does it Mean to Guard Your Heart?

The idea of guarding our hearts originates from Axioms 4:23-26. We are helped to remember every one of the things that attempt to come against us. Guarding our hearts implies being savvy and perceiving in our lives. Guarding our hearts implies shielding ourselves as Christians from every one of the things that would come to hurt us. We need to beat enticements consistently. We have to discover approaches to beat questions that tend to sneak in. We monitor our hearts against a wide range of diversions from our confidence. Our heart is delicate. We need to do what we can to secure it.

Motivations to Watch Your Heart

The delicacy of our heart ought not be trifled with. On the off chance that your heart is the association with God, what sort of relationship will you have if your heart begins to come up short? On the off chance that we permit all the unkind powers on the planet to pull us far from God, our heart ends up unfortunate. In the event that we just feed our heart garbage from the World, our heart quits working the way it should. Much the same as our physical wellbeing, our otherworldly wellbeing can fizzle on the off chance that we don't take great care of it. When we let down our monitor and overlook the things that God lets us know through the Book of scriptures and through supplication, we do harm to our heart and our association with God.

That is the reason we are advised to protect our hearts.

Why You Shouldn't Protect Your Heart

Guarding your heart doesn't mean concealing it behind a block divider. It implies being cautious, yet it doesn't mean cutting ourselves off from the world. Numerous individuals surmise that guarding your heart implies don't enable yourself to get injured. The consequence of this sort of reasoning is that individuals quit cherishing each other or confining themselves from others. Nonetheless, that isn't what God is inquiring. We are to watch out hearts from unfortunate and harming things. We are not to quit interfacing with other individuals. Our hearts will part from time to time as we go into and out of connections.

When we lose friends and family, we will hurt. However, that hurt means we did what God inquired. We adored others. Guarding our hearts implies permitting that affection in and giving God a chance to be our solace. Guarding your heart implies getting to be more shrewd in our lives, not being segregated and safe.

How Would I Protect My Heart?

In the event that guarding our hearts implies getting to be more shrewd and all the more perceiving, there are ways we can develop those profound controls:

Concentrate your book of scriptures - On the off chance that you need to know how to protect your heart against things that will pull you far from God, the Book of scriptures is the best place to begin. It is loaded with guidance for living admirably.

Invest energy in petition - Guarding your heart implies having a sound association with God. That relationship develops as you supplicate and have discussions with Him.

Pick companions carefully - Picking great companions appears to be simple, yet in some cases we dismiss companions who are beneficial for us and the ones that appear to be more enjoyable or gaudy. Ensure there is substance in your connections.

Not just our hearts, but our minds also. Great piece

In this life people must hurt, push you down...but the way you react to the situation depends on you.
You can choose to be depress, cry or laugh over it and know that human being are difficult to please.
