STEEMCHURCH: God fights for me
Surely, many of us have felt "tired", "downcast" (without spirit or strength), weakened, confused ... surrounded by all kinds of crises, temptations, in the midst of emotional, spiritual and physical battles. This is real, and we can not deny it, because the Bible says that we are exposed, daily, to various temporal tribulations and the attacks of the enemy, who walks around looking for someone to devour, looking for someone to confuse, looking for someone to frighten .
Who among us has not felt troubled, afflicted, lonely or abandoned?
The psalmist expressed at one point in his life: "My tears were my bread day and night, as they tell me every day: where is your God? Psalm 42: 3.
In spite of everything, we must not allow the enemy of our souls to "convince" us that our "case" is lost, that there is no hope, that things will go from "bad to worse". In no way accept such thoughts !!
In Psalm 42, we read that King David claimed his soul: Why are you cast down, oh my soul, and why are you disturbed within me? Wait on God ... my salvation ... "Surely we can WAIT ON GOD, because: His angel encamps around us and defends us, because God will not let the righteous fall, because he is with us as a mighty giant, because he will answer us with tremendous things, because he claimed that no weapon forged
He will prosper against us, because the Lord has given us precious and very great promises (and he will fulfill them faithfully and punctually), because there is no one who can against us if he is for us, because there is nothing difficult for him.
DO NOT DESERVE! Because, after darkness, tomorrow will come. Psalm 130: 6 We can be sure that "... he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep," "who delivered us, and delivers us, and in whom we hope he will still deliver us." 2 Corinthians 1:10
It is very natural and human that we have fears. However, the Lord not only removes fear but also gives us the courage and strength to overcome. Prayer helps us to place our trust in Him. Furthermore, reading the Psalms out loud is a way of filling us with His power and peace. Sometimes we feel powerful, strong enough in themselves, but in reality they need to know that God, the true Almighty, wants to give them confidence in the face of the reality of a dangerous world full of difficulties.
