The influence of the Holy Spirit
The influence of the Holy Spirit in an unsaved individual's life will lead that individual to the acknowledgment that he is guilty, that God is simply, and that all sinners are deserving of judgment. Once a sinner has been stirred to his spirit's extraordinary need, the Spirit will point him to Christ, the unrivaled Friend in need and Asylum from judgment (John 16:14).
In the greater part of this, the Spirit utilizes His "sword," the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), and the outcome is a recovered heart. "Confidence originates from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ" (Romans 10:17).
The world is a sinful place, and one of the Holy Spirit's undertakings is to convict the world of its sin. No measure of preaching, pleading, or pointing of fingers will bring about the conviction of sin, unless the Holy Spirit is grinding away in the sinner's heart. It is the Spirit's business to convict. Also, what is the most fundamental sin of which the world is liable? Jesus indicates it as unbelief.
The convicting energy of the Holy Spirit is grinding away in the world "since they accept not in [Christ]." Once a man reacts to the Spirit's conviction and swings to confidence in Christ, the other sins he honed will be dealt with. It is the sin of unbelief—a refusal to confide in Jesue that is essential.
The world should likewise be indicted nobility, and this, as well, is something the Holy Spirit does. There is a noble standard we are altogether held to, regardless of the world's determined dissent of supreme truth. Also, who is the leading figure of righteousness?
Jesus points to Himself as that standard: "Since I go to the Father." There is just a single Individual who descended from paradise, carried on with an existence of sinless flawlessness, and who rose back to paradise—the son of Man, who lives to be our Intercessor (John 3:13; 1 Timothy 2:5).
