#12 DAILY LIVING WITH ROYALTY (We walk by faith and not by sight||2Corinthians 5:7)

in #steemchurch7 years ago (edited)

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.
Hebrews 11:1‭-‬3 MSG

Our Christian life is characterized by faith. Faith in my own opinion is a deeper level of believe and trust in God. Daily God's instructs us either by reading His Words or by the ministering of His spirit in us. Most times God's instructions sounds silly(pardon the language) to us and we are sometimes reluctant to act on His instructions. This is because we have allowed our minds to be clouded with the intelligence of the world.

God says to us, do this and you'll be blessed.
Human mentality begins to analyze God's instructions.

How can I be blessed by doing this thing?

This is where many believers fail in Christianity. We feel we're smarter than God and for every instruction we receive from God, we subject it to probing and scrutinizing. This particular reason is why a lot of believers are not blessed today.

The Christian life like I'll always say, is a life of faith and not by what we see. The physical eyes will see negativity, but with faith we choose to see what we want to see.

Walking by faith and not by sight requires you to go to a place you do not know, one that God will reveal as you walk in obedience. Just look to Abraham as an example (Genesis 12:1).

Abraham is the perfect model for the description of a person who has faith in God. Abraham totally yielded his life to God's leading. He chose to see what God want him to see.

Abraham followed all of God's instructions without doubt and this counted for him as righteousness.

Then Abram believed in (affirmed, trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the Lord ; and He counted (credited) it to him as righteousness (doing right in regard to God and man).
GENESIS 15:6 AMP

The concept of Faith in God is a complete contrast to human wisdom and calculations. God told Abraham he'll give birth to a son. At that time Abraham and his wife Sarah were full of age, and by human calculations giving birth would have been impossible, yet Abraham didn't doubt. Years past and Isaac the promised Child had grown and God decided to test Abraham's faith by instructing him to sacrifice Isaac back to Him, once again Abraham passed this test in flying colors. Abraham was blessed beyond measure, and the results of those blessings we still enjoy today.

In the walk of faith, you just may have to play the part of a fool.

  • Think about Noah building an ark for a flood when it had never even rained on earth.

  • Think about Abraham clinging to the promise that he would be the father of many nations even though he was childless at the age of 100.

  • Think about Moses telling the Israelites on their way to the promise land that they would eat meat until it disgusted them but having no idea where that meat would come from.

  • Think about Joshua marching around the walls of Jericho as God had told him to and wondering what good it was going to do.

There are several models of faith in the bible, most of which acted a fool in the sight of humans but great faith in the sight of God.

DECLARATION: Father Lord, I yield my thoughts to you. Invade my life and plant Your Faith in my life. By Your Spirit allow me not to see things the way the world sees them, but with the eyes of Your Spirit allow me see what You want me to see and be blessed therein.

For we walk by faith and not by sight

Do have yourself a lovely morning steemians, and stay blessed.
