Luke 17:11, 16

Greetings brothers and friends of Steemchurch. Health. welcome to my blog
Today I want to share with you a topic directly related to the personality of the human being. "Ingratitude."

The Spanish dictionary defines this term as ungrateful lack of recognition of the favors received.

Today many people do not give importance to gratitude and ingratitude, because the scale of values of many is totally unaware of what it means to "thank" but I want you to know that God sees things differently....

Ingratitude is a sign of very dangerous times.
We often meet people who have helped unselfishly in many aspects of life, and we have come to feel very hurt, not because we were expecting any reward from the person, but simply because we did it sincerely, with all our heart and that as humans it hurts us.

About this the apostle Paul warned us of the difficult and bad times we would experience before the return of Christ
(2 Timothy 3: 1,2) "You must also know this: that in the last days perilous times will come. Because there will be men loving themselves, disobedient to parents, ungrateful ... "

Ingratitude is one of the most common sins of man. Ingratitude is rooted in selfishness.
While it is true that ingratitude is an evil that derives from Adam originated by not recognizing the good with what God had blessed him, we must be careful to be ungrateful.

Unfortunately, every day fewer people express their gratitude to those who once did a good.
Today there are people full of selfishness and individualism who do not value friendship, appreciation or goodwill towards them.

Human beings are selfish by nature, and that is why sometimes it is difficult for us to show gratitude.
The bible commands us: "They must be made new in the force that drives their mind, and they must be clothed with the new personality that was created according to the will of God" (Ephesians 4: 23,24).

Sometimes we stop giving thanks, not because we do not feel grateful, but because we forget to express it. But how important it is to express gratitude. It is not enough just to feel it. Jesus Christ himself gave us an example of ingratitude.

On one of his trips to Jerusalem, Jesus met ten lepers. When they recognized him, "they raised their voices and said: Jesus, instructor, have mercy on us! When he saw them, he said to them: go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass that while they went they were cleansed ... but only one of the ten foreigners came to give glory to God, and Jesus answered and said, There are not ten who were cleansed. And the nine, where are they?

This shows us that ingratitude is an anti-value practiced by many people that today has expanded dramatically in this society.

It is important to note that ingratitude is a way to dishonor God, why. Simply because if we do not honor what we see, the benefits that the people we have around us can offer us, how we can then honor what we do not see.
In this case I refer to the presence of God, we feel it, we feel it, because we have felt its glory, but we literally do not see it face to face.

This is a reflection for all those people who want to maintain values and principles established by God.

Remember all the benefits that the people of Israel had, as God fed them in the desert and guided them with mercy to each of them, however they rose against God and were ungrateful with what God had done in their life at that time of crisis.

In the same way the Bible tells us in Genesis 40:23 "And the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him" Once the chief cupbearer had offended Pharaoh and was put in prison and Joseph intervened before the pharaoh and the cupbearer he was set free.
But the chief cupbearer quickly forgot what Joseph had done for him. What a picture of ingratitude! How common it is for depraved men to be ungrateful, this is a characteristic of the men of this century.

Ingratitude is always a bad attitude. Jesus healed ten lepers and sent them to the priests so they could testify that they were cleansed, but only one of them returned to thank God for the miracle he had done in his life. This pleased God.

Sometimes people constantly remember insults or injuries, but very little remember to thank those who have helped, but on the contrary the first time they find what they do selfishly is hypocritically attacking those who offered their hand.
Today I want us to reflect on the ingratitude, of our actions before those who at some time, were on our side and we reached out to do a good. Ingratitude is an act that God hates, because a grateful heart moves the hand of God.

Genuine faith will always be rewarded. What did the ten lepers do once the priests declared them ceremonially clean? Well, nothing is known about the nine. They considered themselves well served. Only one of the ten, looking healthy, returned to the place where the Lord Jesus was and glorified God with a loud voice, prostrated face to face at the feet of the Lord Jesus, giving him thanks. Only he was grateful. The other nine committed the crime of ingratitude. Ingratitude is a sin in the eyes of God, if you are not grateful to your brother, you will be less grateful to the Most High God.

How can someone not have gratitude to God? The bible says that we enter through its doors with thanksgiving.

Ingratitude deprives us from enjoying the real blessings of God. Every time we get unappreciative of the goodness of God in our lives, we indirectly shut the door for more of such goodness to come into our lives. Gratitude brings more blessings and ingratitude brings stagnancy and sadness

Your message is good sister @ricci01. I have always believed that values such as gratitude must exist in every atom of our being.

Ungrateful is the one who denies the benefit received;
ungrateful is the one who conceals it,
more ungrateful is the one who does not return it,
and much more ungrateful who forgets him
We can not be Ungrateful to the presence of God, nor badly Grateful to His unconditional Love.
God bless you @ricci01

Amen @williammarin we should not be ungrateful, gratitude should live with us, and thank our God, because when we are grateful to God, we also thank our brothers and friends, everyone who extends a hand when we need it most. Thank you for your comment.

Jesus had a heart always ready to serve, even though not everyone thanked him, Christ came and died for the just and unjust, the unjust people are those who in their nature do not appreciate the good deeds that have once been done for them, but This does not have to stop us from continuing to do good, it is better to focus on love and the good that God has for us because in the end everything we do we do for the Lord and not for men. God bless you

Amen @michellechristie. Therefore we must practice gratitude, because if we are grateful to God, who has provided us with everything we have, we must also show this example of Jesus with our fellow men, because if we do not thank those we see, how we would thank our God . Thanks for comment.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you with all its riches: instruct and admonish one another with all wisdom; sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God, with gratitude of heart.
Colossians 3:16

this article makes us reflect @ ricci01

There is saying in my country that when help somebody and he doesn't give thanks is like a thief that rob you from everything.

God hate ingratitude.

We must give thanks always.
