We should Not Exalt Ourselves.
WHEN HUMILITY IS LOST
Losing humility means falling into vanity, pride and overestimating to the point of thinking that equality does not exist, sometimes because of a power, popularity or acquired influence, being a serious fault for the heart of a human being, because overestimating itself entails to a sin in the eyes of God, being a very typical evil to find among people of influence and power, in many cases famous artists and very popular people who seem to forget that their prestige is due to their followers.
Thus says the LORD: Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom, neither let the mighty one boast of his power, nor the rich man boast of his wealth. Jeremiah 9:23.
The Holy Bible gives us a very brief and explicit lesson, but above all forceful in what to exalt yourself refers:
JOHN 18: 9-14 (Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican) :
To some who trusted in themselves as righteous, and despised others, he also said this parable:
Two men went up to the temple to pray: one was a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
The Pharisee, standing up, prayed with himself in this way: God, I thank you because I am not like other men, thieves, unjust, adulterers, or even like this publican, I fast twice a week, I give tithes of everything what I earn
But the publican, being far away, did not even want to look up to heaven, but beat his chest, saying: God, be merciful to me, a sinner.
I tell you that he went down to his house justified before the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled; and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
This Pharisee Man thought that by making public the execution of the norms, he was superior to any other or that God favored him more than any other; What a great mistake because to pay attention to the commands and edicts of God is to fulfill them in a quiet humble way and without any fame, why would there be fame in any good act? then it would not be an act of heart or good intention, but would be to impress and pretend before others.
On the other hand, the Publican Man humiliated before his sinful nature felt shame before God and accepted his error. There is no difference for God between men or women, we are all equal and this is why we can not believe more than others or overestimate our actions with the intention of impressing, the true naturalness of a good act is to do it without expecting anything in return .

Therefore, when you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, to be praised by men. Truly I say to you {that} you have received your reward. Matthew 6: 2.
Think about this for a moment: Jesus Christ being Son of God, being in the comfort of his kingdom, come down to this world to face the evils of an ordinary man, but it is not all, having the grace of God's power and the Holy Spirit He never exalted himself, never exalted himself or asked fame for himself, I always reiterate that the glory is for the Father and before all humility, but the most incredible thing is that Jesus died on the cross for the salvation of the humanity and I do not claim that act for its own glory but for the world and for Almighty God.
I believe that any act performed must be done with heart and not to impress or to gain popularity or influence before men, men are born and die, things come and go but God and Jesus are there waiting for eternity and depending on ourselves We may or may not get to that holy place and where happiness is eternal. I thought that after meeting @Sirknight I would not know another man and brother in Christ of equal proportions, but Brother @Emiliocabrera has demonstrated the ability and capacity of a Christian leader, working for the needy, innovating in social projects and carrying the good Christ's message where he is, but the most impressive thing is that he only covers a lot of ground and that is where we can see the real intention and meaning of his work. Continue like this, God bless you.
May the stranger praise you, and not your mouth; the stranger, and not your lips. Proverbs 27: 2
Thank you brother Rubén, of Juan el Bautista I learned that it is necessary to diminish so that Christ is exalted, our work must highlight the greatness of God, his grace and his love. May God help us to remain humble because "of certain" "of certain I say": He who humbles himself will be exalted "
If our Lord Jesus demonstrated the true essence of humility we should also proclaim it.
Excellent publication @rubenmedina, humble people are well considered in society, however a haughty spirit, wins many enemies.
Our integrity will always define our true sister nature, I tell you that as a police officer who is against corruption I have many enemies, but I will never bend my mind, and in Christ and my God I deposit my faith.
