RE: HOW TO MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD AND HAVE RESULTS
Thanks for this post @gloeze.
You stair up the power of God by speaking in tongues.
Just a little clarification I'd like to offer...Speaking in tongues is one of the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
That said, I don't believe that everyone genuinely possesses this Gift; and should not be deemed less a Christian for the inability. (1 Corinthians 12: 7-11).
Best regards.
Peace.
Thank you for the comment. There are laws in Christianity that one must follow if you must attain certain levels of your spirituality. They are never by force but by choice. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Still many do not exercise their faith in God in certain matters. Not speaking in tongues does not make one a less Christian. He is a christian who maybe has decided not to activate the power with him. God still loves him. Even the sinner. Christ died for everyone yet not everyone believes. It is a choice dear @spiritualmatters
So @gloeze are you of the belief that everyone should be able to speak in tongues?
You are not alone in this perception.
If you read the Bible verse regarding this gift, you will note the phrase to another, aka some, not all.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.
Note that the verse says, to another; and, not all inclusive. I hope this helps add clarity.
Thanks for your reply.
Best regards.
Peace.
