After all this, Ezra. It was during the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia. Ezra was the son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah, son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub, son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth, .......

How many of you know the name (s) of your great - grand parent (s) ??

And how many have made the effort to find out, or even write down your family tree???

🌳 Very few of you, quite likely!

🏷 Why hasn't it occurred to you to do that, and why haven't you done anything about it, even when it crossed your mind??

✍🏻 Can I say that it's because you don't see the necessity of such an exercise.
And more likely, you feel it's unprofitable, not yielding an income.

Well, we're all victims of modern education; that's why!!!

🖊 The rule these days seems to be something like : " if it doesn't yield an income or give you pleasure, don't do it"
Our minds are tuned to money, money, money!
It's the god of modern society, and the goal of its educational system.
It's courses that are provide the skills that are selling in the job market and fetching good money.

🌿The result is stressed up, discouraged people who hate their jobs but are forced to keep at it in order to live --- empty people, pushing empty lives!!!

📍We hate life and yet cling to it -- a shocking modern phenomenon!!!
And, so, we try to bury ourselves in pleasure; it's our emotional escape!!
We get hooked on things, it's better than the emptiness!!!

🔖 We shop and shop; we buy and keep buying things, looking for a joy and satisfaction from elusive sources!
Wanna know how the Bible describes that kind of life?
It's vanity of all vanity; emptiness, and chasing after the wind!!!

🗝 Modern life, which is a function of our modern mindset, derived from our modern educational systems, is a chasing after the wind, vanity.

🌷Someone has tried this kind of self-indulgent, hedonistic life before -- King Solomon of Israel, and I've been quoting him largely. (

Ecclesiastes 2:17,18,22,23
Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.
18 Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled......
23 For all his days are sorrowful, and his work burdensome; .... This is also vanity.

💫 Family no longer holds premium for us.
Forget about values; and, as for God, let Him wait till crisis hits!
We're busy, as He can well see!!

🌳 Money, pleasure, self!! These are our modern gods.
And modern educational systems their altar.

✍🏻 God is just as committed to carry out His threats against us, as He is to His promises to bless.
Reaping what we sow is an inescapable reality.

🌱 We've produced a soft- padded society that lives constantly in 'escape' mode; unconscious victims of rebel education!!!

💧It's our just deserts!
