God of impossibilities

in #steemchurch7 years ago (edited)

As we all know, God is able to do anything regardless of what it is, and He will make a way where there is no way.

In Matthew 19 vs 26, this is what he said

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

What actually instigated Christ to say such a thing? I think the basic answer is that He wanted to show us all that if what we think can’t be done, but to God that is not even a challenge our God can do anything and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

God can change even the animal nature

You can’t see that in 1Sam.6:7-12 where God has to send 2 Wild cows to carry his Ark back to Israel leaving their calves behind.

He can change Physical Law

2Kings 6:4-7

So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

God made an iron ax head to float like a cork.

He can do the impossible!!!!!!

Romans 4:19-21
When God says He will do something for you, He’s bound to do it! He always keeps his words, but there are some things that you as human have to do also, in order to receive God things from Him.

I think a good reference should be the life of Abraham.

At the time God promised Abraham that his wife Sarah would bare a son, Abraham had to ignore his natural circumstances, and choose to have faith in God’s promise, and I also believe that God was very powerful enough to do what He said he would do, because his word cannot return back to him void.

Romans 4:19-21 will show you some steps that Abraham followed in receiving the IMPOSSIBLE promise from God.

When God gives us a promise, I’ll advice us to

    1. Consider not,
    1. Stagger not,
    1. Give glory to God,
    1. And be fully persuaded.
  • Abraham didn’t consider the physical circumstances, maybe his age or Sarah’s age or something, he just believe things will work well for those that loves God.

  • Sarah staggered at the promises of God but laughing the idea of bearing a child at old age.

All in all, May God remind you to overcome staggering fear in times of difficulty.
Have a blissful weekend.

Sort:

Romans 4:19-21 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Ro 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

If God says He will do something for you, He will do it! He always keeps his promises, but there are some things that you have to do in order to receive from Him.

The best example of this is seen in the life of Abraham.

When God promised Abraham that Sarah would give birth to a son, Abraham had to ignore his natural circumstances, have faith in God’s promise, and believe that God was powerful enough to do what He said he would do.

Jesus … said … with God all things are possible." What prompted Jesus to say such a thing? The answer is that He wanted to show us all that what we think can’t be done, is no challenge at all to God for God can do anything and He will make a way where there is no way. It doesn’t matter what you’re believing God for—you don’t have to consider the circumstances that surround your particular situation. If you start thinking about all the natural conditions or what So-and-so said, you will become weak in faith.

What we may think is impossible, is possible for God. God makes impossibilities possibilities. That's why we can always be sure he can turn our situations around. Thanks for sharing.

he has done some-many in the passed and he will keep doing so from enouch david paul and silas to me...... thanks

Our God is able to bring out possibility out of impossibility.
To man's understanding, there's no way Sarah can conceive again talkless of giving birth but because God is able to turn things around, He bring out what is impossible unto man and made it possible.
With God, all things ara possible.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Abraham didn’t consider the physical circumstances, maybe his age or Sarah’s age or something, he just belive things will work well for those that loves God.
It should be believe instead of belive.
