GOD'S LACK OF INTEREST IN PUNISHMENT

Ezekiel 18:23

How could it be my will that an impious man should die, says the Lord God, and not that he should be converted from his ways and live?

Explanation:

When you hear folks talk about hell and things of that sort, it is easy to see God as a no-nonsense dictator who writes your sins on granite so He would never forget them. However, this passage proves that that notion is entirely false. Jesus Himself said, "I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."(Luke 15:10). There is an unexplainable love God has for mankind, and because of that love, he always has second thoughts about punishing us. For example, after sending Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden, he Himself made them clothes (Genesis 3:21). Also remember what God said to Jonah, "So, why can’t I likewise change what I feel about Nineveh from anger to pleasure, this big city of more than 120,000 childlike people who don’t yet know right from wrong, to say nothing of all the innocent animals?” (Jonah 4:10-11)

Moral:

Do not be like Judas Iscariot who decided to die in sin rather than to seek forgiveness. Be like Peter, David or Paul, who sinned against God, but on realizing themselves, pleaded for forgiveness. These people today are among the greatest people of God we know. God plans for all things; so, it should be easy to understand that He has planned already on getting us back after we stray, because He knows we will surely stray. There is no point of no return.

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK, WITH LOTS OF LOVE ♥
